XBMC does not detect SSD - godfather007 - 2010-01-02 Hello, i own a ION 330 HT and replaced the sata drive by a 8GB SSD from transcend. I am able to install the so called "xbmcfreak" image (RC1) but not the image directly from XBMC itselve. The installer does not detect my drive but it installs perfectly onto a 4 GB usb key. Any idea? Already tried the IDE and AHCI mode... makes no difference. Happy new year! Martijn - althekiller - 2010-01-02 Whatever that image is, it's not ours and not supported here. - godfather007 - 2010-01-03 I don't want support on his image, i need some help/info on the xbmc-live image. As stated above, i'm running on usb stick now with xbmc-image. But prefer to run on ssd drive. Using asrock ion 330 ht. All i get is the installer offering me to install on i-scsi. Like this message. Thx - godfather007 - 2010-01-06 I figured that i'm able to install with the BETA1 image but that's the last image that detected my transcend 8 GB device. - Blue_Calx - 2010-01-12 I am having the exact same problem as godfather007. I get the screen here: I am trying to install it to a PC with a Intel motherboard and a SATA hard drive plugged into SATA port 0. Very basic. The install worked great with 9.04.1 Live CD. Anyone got a solution? - godfather007 - 2010-01-24 Just to add: i'm trying to run xbmc from a TS8GSSD25S-S Which, like screenshot above, does not get detected. In the beta 1 it does get detected. (skip the mentioned xbmcfreak image, i checked with the xbmc.org-images). It's like the driver does not trigger the devices well. Could do a seperate ubuntu install on it... - godfather007 - 2010-01-24 just downloaded beta1 to freshly install. The setup says: "detected sata-raid devices; shall i enable them?" Answer: YES ends up with no SSD NO ends up with SSD. Going to try to pkg update. Any hints to look for while updating drivers etc? - km01 - 2010-09-16 I had this same problem and it turns out it's because the ssd used to be part of a raid set so had some metadata left on it.. got the solution from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1484448 |
