i think i read in another post that there will never be support for live tv or tuner cards but i can't find it now. if someone could clarify this for me it would be great. i asking about support in windows and not with a live cd, i mean a full install. thanks

The current plan is that XMBC won't support the TV card directly, but it will act as a front end to display video from other software, e.g. MythTV, that links to the TV card.
Having said that, never say never in the XBMC world. All it takes if for a developer to decide to write the code ...
