RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - mikty - 2015-01-18 hi, I use retroarch for openelec with rom browser collection in order to have videosnaps works. my problem is with mame: the game name showning in the list of RCB is the name of the rom. for ex: dino.zip, dinopic,.zip I would prefer the game name of these rom witch is CADILLACS AND DINOSAURS. is there a way to show the game name instead of the rom name? thank you for your help. regards RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - billyc666 - 2015-01-18 (2015-01-18, 20:17)mikty Wrote: hi, might be wrong, but I assume you will need to use an offline scraper .see here http://code.google.com/p/romcollectionbrowser/wiki/HowToAddMAMEOffline RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - wantboost - 2015-01-19 undefined RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - mikty - 2015-01-19 (2015-01-18, 20:37)joebloggs12 Wrote:(2015-01-18, 20:17)mikty Wrote: hi, ok thanks, i will test this night after work thank you for yours ansqers i hope it will works bye RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - wantboost - 2015-01-20 Is ps1 supported? RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - teeedubb - 2015-01-20 Any emulator you can run via command line (and probably ones that aren't with the help of some ahk scripts) are supported by rcb. RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - acejoker - 2015-01-20 Hope somebody can help here... I've recently upgraded from XBMC Gotham 13.2 to Kodi Helix 14.0 and since then, I can't launch Rom Collection Browser from my main menu anymore. It works fine if I go into the default programs menu and launch it from there, but if I create a shortcut on my home screen for RCB, it won't launch. No Error or freezing; just doesn't do anything I'm considering a fresh reinstall, but I'd prefer avoiding the setup again since it took me a long time to get everything in RCB to work as it should. I'm at a lost here, so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - imro2 - 2015-01-20 (2015-01-20, 15:19)acejoker Wrote: Hope somebody can help here... try this http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=70115&pid=1893520#pid1893520, just on the previous page. I haven't been able to get RCB to launch any games with Helix one getting past this step, although this could be a problem with Openelec 5. Anyone got it working at all under Helix? I don't fully understand your question, but if you are saying that you can launch RCB just cannot run any games, you might want to run the emulator from command line and see if you get any errors. OpenELEC 5.0.0 (or shortly before) ditched some libraries that used to be a part of the system. If your emulator relies on those libraries being there, that might be your problem. I am using Retroarch and had to get libSDL-1.2.so.0 and libSDL_image-1.2.so.0 for MAME. this is not to say that you need exactly those libraries, because it depends on what you are using for emulator, but getting the emulator to run from command line would be your first step. If you are using Retroarch and MAME and you are missing same libraries as I was, look here http://openelec.tv/forum/128-addons/64970-retroarch-addon-32-64-bits?start=480#125467 RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - acejoker - 2015-01-21 (2015-01-20, 16:01)imro2 Wrote:(2015-01-20, 15:19)acejoker Wrote: Hope somebody can help here... Adding the default.py parameter line as described from the post you linked fixed my problem. I'd just like to add that the default.py file that needs to be modified is the one located in "\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\script.games.rom.collection.browser". Modifying the one in program files won't do anything. Don't know if this will help anybody else, but it took me longer than I'd be proud to admit to figure out; so just thought I'd share. Everything is working great now - thanks! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting etc but no luck, will there be a log file which may show whats happening? RE: [RELEASE] Rom Collection Browser - Browse and launch emulator game ROMs - matthew798 - 2015-01-21 I'm having trouble. I installed kodi (v14) on both my computers and RCB doesn't work on either. It allows me to create a collection (in my gase gamecube) but then when it asks to update the collection it shows no scrapers and does nothing. In all the menus (settings etc) the collection names (gamecube) aren't shown, like it's not loading some local database or something. Thanks.
