Ok, I have this option on, but I guess that there was some cache about this and this is now solved.

Thanks!

Hi,

There have been a number of good updates recently. Thanks for your continuing efforts on this. I notice today the media flags on sets are now not showing - great. A couple of suggestions for you to consider.

1. I found tv logo support the other day. I'd never used this before, but it works great. How about changing the info screen on TV Shows to replace the normal show name currently used to use the TV Logo, the same as you do in panel view?

2. Would it be possible to add a second line of text below the title of movie sets? So for example, where I have a set called "MATRIX" it could add a second line in a slightly smaller font size that says "COLLECTION".

Just food for though. Thanks again - I keep trying other skins out of curiosity, but I always come back to Alaska Revisited, and it just keeps getting better!

How do u make movie collections I have dirty harrys but there placed all over the video lib and wanted them kept together.

Cheers

@ hitcher i have just updated you ro new skin.

not to sure about the new info text layout it looks all squashed i liked it better like this to honest

http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=597350&postcount=872

but what about having it like this

Image

then on a up or down arow press it would go to the next selection on the menu

Image

what you think if your not interested in that view would like the option to at least go back to this as i think its miles better

That would work well, IMHO. I have set it to pop up the Info screen when clicking on a movie now, but I really would prefer if there was a way for my wife and kids to not see these THUMB, FANART and REFRESH buttons.

hitcher made the change specifically because people were unaware that you could press up to get to those options. how does that old saying go? you can't please everyone...

@meridius i think people who have trailers are in the minority and your idea would leave a lot of people with a lot of wasted space.

for my two cents i think it looks great as is.

i'm a trailer guy so i love everything about the new info screen..

but a lot of my movies display as runtime only 1 min but in the nfo the actual runtime is correct, can anyone direct me to a solution? i've tried refreshing a bunch of times still does not work. Thanks

You need to rescan your metadata in Ember...

Hey guys,

A quick request that I just wanted to throw out there; would it be possible to change the flag that's displayed if a video's codec is identified as 'avc1'? I encoded a bunch of my DVDs using Handbrake, all into H264. The extension on them is '.m4v', yet they get flagged as WMV HD.

Alternatively, I guess if I add (dvd) to the end of the filenames, they'd get a DVD logo, right? I've noticed something similar for my blurays.

Cheers, Sean.

Hi Hitcher,

I'm translating Alaska Revisited into Spanish and I've seen that you have change the Home Artwork Menu Options and then 40036 to 40049, 40058, 40059 and 40254 to 40267 isn't used anymore, is that right? If that's right, There is a problem with new strings (Setup X Folder and Setup X Image) that aren't spanish friendly. Is there any way to change it? Maybe in a scheme like this:

Image

This is Language independent and I think that is understandable. But this is only a suggestion Smile

EDIT: http://pastebin.com/9vyGXeQW This is the above in XBMC.

Cheers!

PS: After Multiimage there are all the reset missing. Another question I have is if logo downloader isn't configurable. Because I was using it and with you button it downloaded cleararts I don't want...

Yes, adding dvd to the file name will show the DVD logo.

Good call, I'll change it for the next update and also use 'Clear' instead of 'Reset' as that's in XBMC's language string.

- MaDDoGo - 2010-09-11

I'm glad you like it, I've been trying to align all buttons, but I think it's impossible, doesn't it?

- Hitcher - 2010-09-11

Yes, I've been struggling with that myself but unfortunately you can't align the individual buttons/labels inside a multiselect control.

EDIT: Worked out how to get around the problem -

Image

Now it looks tidier.

- MaDDoGo - 2010-09-11

Wow, this looks exactly what I want: simply, language independent shape and aligned.

I'm waiting for the strings.xml to finish the translation.

Thank you Hitcher!

PS: Another question non related to this. I read a few posts ago about DVDRip, HDTV and flags about rip quality like this in the skin. This labels have to be in the filename, or can it be in folders? Because I have a scheme of folders like this movies/(DVDRip, BRRip, Screener, etc) but the filename is only the movie title.
