I understand you have progressed further than this, but I have a suggestion regarding the movie/music sub-menu. Instead of the featured widget how about a favourites panel/widget... user's can customise the widget by adding smart-playlists and favorites along with a thumb through the skin settings.

yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of having an entirely customizable section/main icon...IE you'd have your movies, tv, music, favorites, settings...the favorites would take you to your main favorites window but the sub menu could show your custom playlists etc with maybe 1-2 user definable things on the left and right. but thats all further down the road.

Gotta have things on the table for v1.5 right? LOL

Also added MPAA ratings to the list:
**after adding, makes me wish there was a way to sort by MPAA ratings Sad **
Makes me wish it was common to all countries across all scrapers and not just america

Yeah, it would be nice to have a universal rating system...

So I deciding I was sick of looking at the Hulu add-on and either not seeing the whole thumb or having the thumb stretched so I created a custom view just for the Hulu add-on.

I know there's a chance Hulu will get pissy and render the addon useless, but I only spent a few hours on it, so no big loss, but big gain while it does work Wink

So now I really want to be able to show the add-on name in my breadcrumb bar at the top but I don't think there's a way to do it still... Sad

Also, any way to have a viewtype only visible by a specific add-on?

**EDIT** Nevermind I figured it out... <visible>substring(container.folderpath,plugin://plugin.video.hulu)</visible>
which for now can be used to display addon names as well, not the best solution, but atleast its something.

It's sad we wont get this before Dharma's release. Sad

I don't understand why it can't be pulled from the addon.xml.

I really don't understand how "basic" string-functions are not available for XBMC skinning.. Just a "real" substr(string, startIndex, [endIndex])... Like substr(container.folderpath, lastIndexOf(container.folderpath, '.')+1), which would return "hulu" - that is part the reason i gave up skinning Sad
The above <visible> tag would require a label for every addon, right? That's kind of sad.. Sad

But then again, i have no idea how the XBMC skinning engine handles strings... as char-arrays or..? But hey, that's for an other forum Smile

I really see no practical use of MPAA ratings..
That view is only for Hulu addon? It's the best view u made. Nice visible blue selection line and white frame matching the top bar. :/
