Problems with MKV 720 / 1080. Lack/Framedrops (Asrock ION 330) - Brenly - 2010-04-23 Hi everybody, I am using XBMC Live. When I watch some 720 / 1080 movies, it makes some framedrops / slowness, not all the time, but it do sometimes. I have tried to search all over what the isue could be, and I have tried following things: I am running ubuntu with XBMC Live. Overlock to 2100 mhz Upgraded to 4gb ram Enabled 512mb Shared ram in Bios Enabled VDPAU I have installed windows7 on another partion on the Arock, but I do not know if it have an isue? I hope somebody can help me Thanks - dondre - 2010-04-23 What is the display ? What is the refresh rate of the display set to ? Have you activated the vertical blank sync ? What do you see in the Settings/System/Video Output "Display" criteria ? What render method is your XBMC set to ? Do you adjust display refresh rate to match video ? Do you sync playback to display using a Video Clock Drop/Dupe audio or re-sampling audio A/V Sync method ? Those are some useful action points to check, also a full DEBUG in pastebin.com or so could help a lot, Cheers - Kantal - 2010-04-25 Not to say it´s the answer, but... I use XbmcLive and when i did a "sudo apt-get upgrade" as i believe is the update for ubuntu mini, i got problems with playback for 720/1080. - sjonnie33 - 2010-04-27 I had the same problem after updating nvidia drivers 195.36.15 for karmic I solved it by updating libvdpau from Nvidia Vdpau Team PPA. Code: sudo apt-get update |
