I don't think a regular user can write to /var/run. Can you make it /var/run/couchpotato/ ?

I don't think a user can create a file in /var/run.
It might help to ask the question here though, since its a problem with this specific install type...

I cannot get any nzbs to download with CouchPotato.
I inputted info for newzbin and NZBsRus but only newzbin shows anything and even then I cannot download the nzb because I dont have any credit.
Any way to fix this??

One question, in Notification panel, inside XBMC it has the DB Path.
If XBMC is on another machine than the couchpotato, you just put the route (for example /home/adeiko/.xbmc/userdata/Database ) and it takes the same ip that the notification ip or how you must do it?

If you want CP to rename them, you just can put the movies into the download-folder and let them being processed - but CP isn't a media-manager/media-library thus indexing of all movies won't be done (Postprocessing however is possible, just put them in the correct folder where CP looks - it'll postprocess them no matter wether you have them in your cp-db or not)

The DB-Path is in place for the rss-feeds, CP will check if a movie it tries to add from the feed is already present in the database and if so will not add it...

That is exactly what i want, right now my notification works like a charm, but i want it to check in XBMC if the movie is already there before adding it to couchpotato, but do not know how to put the DB-Path if XBMC is in another machine.
