Missing album covers in library - Joao - 2010-07-17 Hello, I'm using XBMC Live, and have just added a few albums to my library. I found that some albums are showing the cover image, and some are not. All of them have the album covers in a Folder.jpg file. Is there a limit for album images? Thanks! - jmarshall - 2010-07-18 No, there are no limitations. There'll no doubt be a good reason why those albums won't be showing a cover image. A Debug Log during the scan might show this up. Alternatively, try "Get Thumb" from the album information dialog. - dandel - 2010-07-18 Another source of this issue is that the song artist, song title or album title is wrong and the parser does not correctly identify the album/song/artist. - Joao - 2010-07-18 Well, the album covers are all in a folder.jpg file. - Joao - 2010-07-18 Ok, I'm getting a lot of these: Code: 19:14:03 T:42392432 M:1974898688 ERROR: CreateThumbnail: Unable to create thumbfile special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/Music/8/8ba24117.tbn from image smb://TOWER/flac/New Folder/flac/King Diamond ,Mercyful Fate/A Dangerous Meeting/folder.jpg Anything I should investigate further? Edit: I'm using a 2Gb pen drive, so it's probably out of space... - Joao - 2010-07-18 I guess space is not a problem: Code: Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on - einhänder - 2010-07-19 i had exactly the same problem. some albums were not showing the album cover at all (xbmc didn't replace those with a standard icon), some were corrupted (partly grey). i didn't update my library since a couple of months and im constantly using the svn version. i simply deleted my library and scanned the source again resulting in a clean library showing nearly all covers. nevertheless there are some albums where i get the standard music album cover from xbmc instead of the cover embedded into the tracks. i already compared and extracted a couple of those covers but couldn't gather any revealing information about what could be wrong. - jmarshall - 2010-07-20 Provide the files that have these covers. We can't do anything unless we can reproduce the problem. Cheers, Jonathan - einhänder - 2010-07-20 i guess you talk about the ones described below? Quote:nevertheless there are some albums where i get the standard music album cover from xbmc instead of the cover embedded into the tracks. i already compared and extracted a couple of those covers but couldn't gather any revealing information about what could be wrong. - jmarshall - 2010-07-20 Yup. - jmarshall - 2010-07-20 Thanks for the sample. It contains a non-conformant JPEG-JFIF image. I've altered the code to be a little less stringent so that this one passes through. There is room for a bit more movement, so let us know if you find more that don't sneak through. r31992. Cheers, Jonathan - einhänder - 2010-07-20 hi jonathan, thanks for your efforts. i just rebuilt xbmc but the cover doesn't show up. i tested it in file mode. normally xbmc extracts these correctly. i also rescanned the library with no positive results. edit: works. had to rebuild my library. - jmarshall - 2010-07-20 Then you failed to build correctly is my only conclusion. Ensure that the imagelib is rebuilt. It works just fine on win32 and OSX here. |
