We've just requested that 2.1.4 is pushed to dharma users, that should fix any playback issues they're experiencing.

We are still working on a 2.9.0 release for eden users but its gonna take a little while yet.

We've just sent the pull request for version 2.9.0 of the plugin, it's mostly just an emergency bug fix to make the plugin play videos again.

But it's also important to note what isn't fixed: listing of several folders is still broken (watch later, watched history, playlists), we believe these are issues on youtube's end since we didnt change anything (more here: http://groups.google.com/group/youtube-api-gdata/browse_thread/thread/42c3d7b4563c73b0) and are awaiting their findings.

Don't be surprised if it takes another 24 hours(or more) for the update to actually arrive in the respective repo's

[APPLE TV1] Error: Script.Failed.Plugin.Video.Youtube - RobertoHN - 2012-01-27

Hello, I'm running XBMC 10.1 Dharma with latest Rapier skin on my Apple TV 1Gen and I installed this addon yesterday but I haven't been able to play anything, I always get the script fail message.

I tried to play a video with this plugin three times, the first one was a video that I have in my uploads, the second one was a video that I have in my favorites and the last one was a search... I'm sure the videos I tried are fully working because it can be played on firefox.

When I try to play the first video this lines were added to the log:

This change brakes beta plugin here (Eden beta, linux). Without it seems ok.

I just received the update via the repo, and my videos are playing perfectly once again. Thank you for the hard work HenrikDK !!!

BTW, for clarification: I am on Dharma, and I received 2.1.4 (changelog says "fix for broken playback"), it was updated from repo automatically at around ~18:00 CET.

I tried updating plugin.video.youtube.beta from http://hg.tobiasussing.dk/hgweb.cgi/youtubexbmc/summary. But it won't play at all, I got eden beta 2 (windows). Do I need to compile a never version of xbmc? I am new to xbmc so I might be trying this completely backwards.. thanks!

You should NOT patch your plugin with what we have in our trunk.

That is a sure way to frell everything up.

I highly suggest you wait for the repo to be updated.

The pull has been requested, but there is a problem with the XBMC Repo backend that means the updated versions haven't been added yet.

They are working on a solution
