$109

Damn that's cheap.....looks like the lower end boards are just missing USB 3.0 and maybe a couple SATA ports.

Probably great using Windows and not so great using Live.....just like it is now.

This APU will support HD audio bitstreaming.

These all are just guesses. Isn't there anyone with E350 with xbmc live?

The biggest problem right now is xbmc itself not amd hardware/drivers. The same goes to intel HD graphics. Thats why most ppl here use / recomend nvidia.

I have a C-50 Aspire One (fusion), that works great in Windows. (DXVA).

No, its not XBMC's fault. XBMC is just an application.

The problem is that AMD and Intel's Linux display drivers are outright primitive compared to Nvidias. Only Nvidia releases Linux drivers that are near-equal to their Windows drivers, the rest give us varying states of junk.

Yes it is. Its this one: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/10928 & also vaapi is disabled by default (only way to enable it is recompile xbmc). Ofc we can't blame devs since its open source project - they work on what they like to and everyone should respect it.

I'm very interessted in this board : ASUS E35M1-M Pro inkl. AMD Fusion E-350.
Does anybody know, if its work with xbmc and full HD under windows 7 ? Ore there are problems at the moment ?

- poofyhairguy - 2011-02-17

I expect it to work in full 1080p in Windows 7.

But VAAPI is disabled for a reason. Its not anti-AMD bias.

Heck XBMC also disables VDPAU-based divx upscaling. As you said we are all big NVidia fanboys, yet this feature is blocked despite being available for more than a year. Why? Because its buggy, and the XBMC devs don't want to be held responsible for Third Party buggy code. Just like with VAAPI.

If VAAPI was as rock solid as normal VDPAU, it wouldn't be disabled. That is the fault of the drivers, which is the fault of AMD/Intel.

I may be wrong but from what i read somewhere here it was disabled accidentally without intention.

About bugged drivers - mplayer with vaapi works fine. Don't get me wrong. My intention is only to make ppl knows the truth that is: nvidia works out of box on linux, amd / intel not yet cuz of bug in xbmc that i believe should/will be fixed soon.

i can play 1080P without any problem , the only thing if u fastforward it needs a few secs to buffer again but thats normal i guess
besides that it plays perfect on a MSI E350IA-E35
