[Feature Request] Theme Support - msderganc - 2010-11-01

Mcborzu -

While I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your skin, I am really not a fan of teal. I'm in the process of changing all of the colors over to a different blue, but I can't update without losing my changes.

Is it possible to allow themesHuh?

Thanks!

You can easily change the blue-ish font - it's called mainblue in colors/defaults.xml

There's already one theme, a more standard blue color in themes/ folder. Activate in the Appearence tab under Settings...Need to be using git, not in XBMC repo yet.

Alaska is easier to mod as his goal was an easy to mod skin, so he created all images white and thus it's easier to just swap some color codes. Night would be a little more difficult but still doable...

Right, the hex colors are easy - it's recoloring all of the images Wink

Not a bad idea to re-do images to white but definitely not on the radar for foreseeable. But all my teal-ish images are a solid teal, not a gradient, so it wouldn't hurt the skin to do it, just the time to do it is the problem...

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS!!

I got the latest git and the theme support is awesome. However, for whatever reason, the images are still the stock images even though the colors have changed. I checked the directories and there is indeed a whole directory of recolored image, so I'm sure it's probably just a coding issue.
