I'd love to see an option to set the level of transparency overall for the modded parts. Sometimes your default level is too much for my taste sometimes. Adjustable value would bridge that.

One side idea here. If we get the ability to play dvd's directly from the main menu I really have no use of the left menu anymore (the one with the play button, the script button and the poweroff button). Would it be possible with a setting to completely get rid of those buttons?
Quoting myself here, just to notice that I've solved the weather fanart now. Problem was that the "Set Fanart Path" isn't visible in Influence no matter what I do. The only way I could set it was by editing guisettings.xml by hand, editing weatherfanartdir. Am I the only with this behaviour?
yiarkyiark, any comments about my second suggestion?

within weather it allows you to activate fan art but doesnt allow you to set path to fanart so it will show the correct fanart for whatever the current weather condition is

How can I use the System Button off in the Home Menu?
In all Custom Buttons, Movies-Button and Series-Button,
I have always submenu background from Video-Button. How can I change that?
In pictures, music and weather works very good.

I earlier asked about the possibility to have three different Movie entries in the main menu so I could get three different lists of movies. The only suggestion I got was to "cheat" with playlists.
Does anybody know if it is even possible without using playlists and if so how it can be done? (with the customizable menus or by editing some xml file or...?)

Hello yiarkyiark. I have a few requests:
Add "3 row thumbnail view" for file browsing, a mod made by zowsky: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=65231
A problem that we have previously discused: some views, like "thumbnails" in file mode or "wide icons" in tv shows, are still difficult in terms of identifying what the current selection is, even after applying your fix in "viewsfilemode.xml". Could you do something about it? Suggestion: either give it a strong glow, or increase the selected thumbnail size.
Finally: do you happen to know of any way to have a total customization of favorites, with folder grouping, and a view mode similar to filebrowsing mode? This has been discussed here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=76117 Like for example: having a folder, inside files mode, with different sub-folders, where you could place "shortcuts" or whatever to addons, files, library views, etc? Am I explaining myself clearly? Probably this possibilities could come from the core xbmc development team, but I'm just wondering if you know of any practical way of accomplishing this right now.

Thank you all for your messages of support and suggestions.
The priority of development is to finalize the basis of the next version, many new surprises, we will gradually move away from confluence and adopt a more personal approach, while retaining the simplicity of using confluence.
Then we will work on standardization of views, to provide better readability.
A beta is expected soon to test the new bases of the skin, we will need help for testing.
