RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - ToddeSwe - 2014-03-02

Hi!

Having a problem as soon as i'm using my username and password to login to TLBB forum (tlbbforum.com) i get this (see picture)

https://www.dropbox.com/sc/sszx22yb0jufsj8/_KoLpDEknn

Why is that?

Same on both HTPC and my TLBB.

And while i'm at it, when the logo of the forum is showing and you have chosen one, what to do then? Can't chose one, have to use back button to get rid of it.

I'm on vacation, but I tested on my phone. I registered and logged in fine in Forum Browser. Since I can't duplicate the error, I'm going to need a log. The easiest way is to install xbmc log uploader and share the link or just the number from the link.

As for your second question, I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you mean adding a new forum, or trying to use an already added forum?

Here's a list of supported sites.

I moved all the youtube-dl code to it's own module so eventually others can use it. Most of the work I did was so that I can just drop new versions of youtube-dl into the module and update.

Thanks for your nice work .
Its so nice that you have the youtube.dl working for xbmc
we is the syntax to access the youtube streams on a own addon over youtube.dl solution?

Hi

Ok, I will post a link to my log file.
Wonder why I didn't think of that... [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

My second question was about when trying to add a new forum. And when you got as far as chosing the picture or logo of the forum I can't do anything besides back button to remove the window.

Be back later with a log link.

Later:

Here comes the log file : http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=142341

And i forgot to say that it is only with http://www.tlbbforum.com/ it fails.

Just be aware that the module isn't released yet. There will be some changes to the methods until then. Plus, until I submit it to the official repository, it will not be generally accessible to other addons without my repo installed.

My goal is to make it simple to play or download a stream, so other addon developers can just focus on scraping the page urls and pass off these tasks to the module. Since youtube-dl supports over 240 sites this will hopefully be helpful for quite a few addons.

I plan on having the basic interface done this week. Then I'll do some testing for maybe another week and submit it to the official repo.

Since I now have 2 of my addons depending on the module, I can't submit them until I get this done either Smile

Go ahead and cause the first error and also try selecting a logo, in case that is causing some silent error that I can see in the log. Normally you just select a logo and the dialog closes.

So you did not find any errors in the log? I did start the app and tried to login first without a username and password then with, then i exited the app and then i made the logfile.

If you edit a post I don't get notified - only new posts cause a notification for thread subscriptions - so I just found out you posted the log.

I see the error. It should be an easy fix. I won't be able to get to it for a day or two since I'm still on vacation.
As for the logo issue I'll look into that more when I'm home.

I'm just glad that you find the problem. I will make a new log when i am trying to add the forum logo later.
Enjoy your holiday!!

I'm home now and I realized that the bug causing that error was already fixed. You will need to get the newest version by installing my repository:
