- Goga777 - 2011-02-27 with -kioskmode "http://www.xbmc.org" Opera started But Opera filled only 70-80% percent of my TV square screen How to fill it all 100% TV screen ? - Angelscry - 2011-02-27 Goga777 Wrote:with -kioskmode "http://www.xbmc.org" Opera startedI don't know. If you start opera in kiokmode only using command line (not from XBMC) does it appear 100% fullscreen or only 70-80%? - Goga777 - 2011-02-27 not Opera will appear in the same (70-80%) TV square may be it is due to missing window manager in my debian ? xbmc started as standalone - xbmc --standalone - Angelscry - 2011-02-27 Goga777 Wrote:notOk... so it is not related to Advanced Launcher. I think it could be due to resolution differences between, XBMC and Opera (under Xorg). First thing you can try into Advanced Launcher is to edit the Opera Launcher and into Advanced Modification activate/deactivate the Toggle XBMC Fullscreen option and see if it has a positive effect. This option is normally allows XBMC to switch between to different fullscreen resolution. If it is not working... Second thing you can try is to check into XBMC into System/Video Output option is the selected resolution is the same than your Xorg default resolution (/etc/X11/xorg.conf). If not that's mean that XBMC and Opera are not into the same resolution and that explain that Opera is not fullscreen. Last thing you can try is to edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and only indicate one resolution (the same than XBMC). Like this you will force Xorg (and so Opera) to display into the same resolution than XBMC and you may normally not have this problem. - Goga777 - 2011-02-27 Angelscry Wrote:Ok... so it is not related to Advanced Launcher. I corrected xorg.conf Quote:Modes "1920x1080_50" and it didn't help btw - my TV set is indicated 1080p mode when xbmc and Opera was launched - seems ok additional info with -kioskmode the hot combination Alt-F4 doesnt work. I could not close the Opera with such way - Angelscry - 2011-02-27 Goga777 Wrote:btw - my TV set is indicated 1080p mode when xbmc and Opera was launched - seems okAlt+F4 is normally active when using Opera kiosk mode. - Goga777 - 2011-02-27 in my case - opposite If I don't use -kioskmode - the Alt-А4 is working well - Angelscry - 2011-02-27 Goga777 Wrote:in my case - oppositeHere is the Opera kiosk mode info : http://www.opera.com/support/mastering/kiosk/ At the end of the page you have ScreenWidth and ScreenHeight command line arguments. Maybe by indicating your screen resolution into the command line using these argument will solve your problem. For the blocked Alt+F4... mainly that the goal of the kiosk mode : fullscreen interface and no possibility to do anything else. Maybe instead of starting into kiosk mode it is better to simply start into fullscreen: Code: opera -fullscreen "%rom%" - Goga777 - 2011-02-27 with Code: -kioskmode -ScreenWidth 1920 -ScreenHeight 1080 opera doesn't start at all - I don't know why yes, with Quote:opera -fullscreen "%rom%" alt-f4 works well - KiSUAN - 2011-02-27 Angelscry Wrote:Ok, so I think the more simple will be to to add another tag for the trailers. Because the actual LitsItem.Trailer vallue is assigned to the extrafanartpath, I will have to make some modifications. If you are able to make a scraper for trailers and make aveilable the full path with name and extension, that would let you reproduce anything downloaded as far as I seen. Geting the extension is critical because if you can't, you have to specify what type in the action button and it would be limited to 1 type, so you should limit the type of files someone is able to download from youtube from the scraper at the same time so there isn't room for "errors". About the path, It could be stored along with any of the available paths, thumb, fanart or extrafanrt, as it doesn't create conflicts with multimage or anything and you avoid having to set more paths/folders, I don't see how adding a trailer specific path would help with anything. If you are not planning on adding trailer scraper, I think it's the same if you leave it as it is, not because I use it that way, because there's no need to add it, you already can code through extrafanart or whatever to get a trailer. Scraping - skimshady - 2011-03-02 Thank you for a very nice app! Im hooked, and I have asked the skin maker of Aeon NOX to support fanart and gameplot in ALA, since NOX is my favourite skin for TV Shows and Movies. Fingers crossed! However, I'm having problems with scraping thumbs for Atari 2600 and for SNES. Maybe 20% of thumbs are found. The file naming is generally ok I think. Is there anyway I could increase my success ratio when scraping? Maybe I could scrape from all sources at the same time; mobygames, gamefaq, allgames and google? Is it possible? And is it possible to do scraping in the background, so i could watch a movie at the same time? I have found that Z26 and SSNES are best for emulating these two consoles in Windows, after trying out a lot of alternatives and reading up. As they are emulating exact, they are rich in CLI features and have no GUI frontend except for XBMC. Again, thank you very much for this app - Angelscry - 2011-03-02 bthusby Wrote:However, I'm having problems with scraping thumbs for Atari 2600 and for SNES. Maybe 20% of thumbs are found. I could give you some hints :
Quote:And is it possible to do scraping in the background, so i could watch a movie at the same time?No unfortunately it is not possible. If you want to what a movie, you have to quit Advanced Launcher and so... it will not be able to scan and save data. I will be able to test them and add the information to the dedicated wiki pages : http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?title=Main_Page - skimshady - 2011-03-03 Angelscry Wrote:Maye you can share you launchers configurations here with others. Im not perfectly happy yet with my setup. When I scrape using Google, often there is some good thumbs showing up, but they will not work when i choose them. Are there limitations in ALA regarding file types, file size etc? And also I found better matches when i put in e.g. "atari" in my searches in addition to just the name of an atari-game. Also a lot of the thumbs for games remained empty, i prefer just putting in something remotely related to the name instead (and often funny), and then I can manually fix later. Maybe this could be incorporated into the scraping algorithm? - Angelscry - 2011-03-03 bthusby Wrote:When I scrape using Google, often there is some good thumbs showing up, but they will not work when i choose them. And so when Advanced Launcher want to download these images... it can not. bthusby Wrote:And also I found better matches when i put in e.g. "atari" in my searches in addition to just the name of an atari-game. By adding the game system to the google image search you will have better specific result... I will try to see how I can improve this... without limiting the flexibility. Thank you. - Mannebrother - 2011-03-03 Hello, i use to play my emulators fine but it seems to have changed after the recent updates. I am running project64 and znes through advanced launcher. win 7 geforce 210 (not necessary information maybe cause it use to run just fine) well over to the problems. 1. When starting project64 from xbmc it gives me following: Graphical error Direct3D failed to initialize Error code 88760868 D3DERR_DEVICELOST i press ok following message comes "The default or selected video plugin is missing or invalid. Check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder." (it does work like a charm if going in manually through project64 so seems to be related to advanced launcher. (also it did work before and i have done nothing to it what i can recall)) What can be wrong? The other problem i seem to have is that when i try to start an emulator and XBMC minimizes just like before but with one change, when i navigate through the game i continue to still navigate in XBMC at the same time, this is not how it use to be. and is fairly annoying starting 50 or so of other applications |
