Thank phmt. Seems that XBMC devellopers have finally removed the HTTP API support from XBMC Frodo. The xbmc.executehttpapi("Action(199)") was used by the Toogle Fullscreen option of Advanced Launcher. Put this option to false and it will normally avoid the problem. On my way, I will start to think to a way to fix that. Thank you for the feedback.

http://www.gwenael.org has always pointed to an empty page. Use http://www.gwenael.org/forum/ URL instead.
I just used "http://www.gwenael.org" in a generic sense. Non of the links on the first page here or http://www.gwenael.org/forum/ work for me. All I get is a time out in Firefox. I have not tried IE yet. If you know the site is up, it must be something on my end.

edit: I tried IE and still can't reach your site (time out). Which is odd because I am not having problems with any other sites.

Thanks

Great, setting "Toggle Fullscreen" to off did it. It works fine now. Thanks!

RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - Hack_kid - 2012-10-20

if you compile your own build of xbmc on can just revert the commits that remove the http api. there is only 1 commit plus another one for the include files for either linux/win/osx etc so like me running linux i just reverted two commits. one labled completed remove deperciated http api and one called remove linux http api include references or something
oh By the way. anyone got this to scrape Wii games. i'm really rusty with the app like the user a few posts up so i might of just forgot a step but was just wondering i tryed to scrape super mario galaxy 2 from gamefaqs and nothing came up and my file schema was like this ~/Game-ROMs/Wii/Super_Mario_Galaxy_2/smg2.iso i set the roms directory to the Wii folder. does it scan recursively

Version 1.10.0 - Angelscry - 2012-10-20

Version 1.10.0 : Recents Frodo XBMC nightly builds have broken compatibility with Advanced Launcher (deprecated executehttpapi function). This new version fix the problem, replacing executehttpapi by executeJSONRPC function. This version of Advanced Launcher still compatible with Eden and Dharma versions of XBMC.

Changelog :
  • Add Frodo support (executehttpapi -> executeJSONRPC).

Yes, normaly Advanced Launcher support recursive scan. Just check that the recursive scan option is activated into Advanced options of Advanced Launcher :

Image

Also, take in mind that the scraping process is based on files name and not on folders name. So with your actual setup, Advanced Launcher will search for a Wii game named smg2 and may surely not be able to identify it as Super Mario Galaxy 2. Rename your smg2.iso file as uper_Mario_Galaxy_2.iso will surely fix the problem.

Version 1.10.1 - Angelscry - 2012-10-21

Version 1.10.1 : After looking more closely to the executeJSONRPC function, it appears that this function only set windows into fullscreen mode inside XBMC and not set XBMC GUI itself to fullscreen. So, this version of Advanced Launcher simply remove the Toggle Fullscreen option. This version also fix an error into the call of the AddSortMethod function.

Changelog :
  • Fix "AddSortMethod - called with an invalid handle" error message.
  • Finally remove the Toogle Fullscreen option.

Hi !
I don't speak very well english but I need some help..
I'd want to launch steam apps with XBMC with advanced launcher's add-on. I downloaded one of the bat file in the forum and I changed the steam id like they said.
And I changed the directory of steam.exe Insted of start C:\Games\steam\steam.exe -shutdown I wrote start C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Steam\steam.exe" -shutdown
Here the url of the post : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=85724&pid=1181405&highlight=GAME+STOPPED+RESUME+XBMC+AND+SHUTDOWN+STEAM#pid1181405

In this console I have an error that say : "pssuspend n'est pas reconnu" (in english : pssuspend is not recognized??) I resolved the problem by installing PsTools

Now, the game is launched but when I quit, I still have the "Dos console" open and I have to click to quit it...
If I click to quit, XBMC crashes because the pssuspend I think...
How can I do to kill this DOS console after I quitted my game??

Thanks (sorry for my bad english Confused)

EDIT : I solved ONE of my problem

RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - SwedishGojira - 2012-10-22

Is there something wrong with wthis plugin in Ubuntu? I had a version of XBMC that I built from GIT a few weeks ago and suddenly after the 1.10.1 update nothing launched. If I rolled back the add-on to 1.9.1 it launched everything properly. I thought that it was probably time for a new build of XBMC anyway but nothing starts again since it has updated the add-on to 1.10.1 and now the roll-back option is greyed out Sad

EDIT: I was wrong in that nothing starts. SNES9x runs perfectly as it has always done. But other programs such as Mednafen and Gens seem to try to load but is waiting for XBMC to do something. I get a black screen when loading those and nothing happens until I kill XBMC from terminal, then the programs start up.

RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - craney - 2012-10-23

I created a launcher to load the BBC IPlayer, ITV Player and Sky Go shortcuts in internet explorer using the method of using internet explorer as the exe and pointing the path to my url shortcuts and when i added them to my main xbmc menu and clicked on them the web pages loaded fine in IE and when i closed them it would go straight back into xbmc. The strange thing i noticed now tho is when i launch the same launcher from within xbmc and closed off the web page it just defaults back to my desktop? really strange as it never used to do that, it would always just go back into xbmc

Any idea why this might be happening now?

Cheers

It will be fixed (I hope) into version 1.10.2. Actually the best solution is to rolling back to version 1.9.1.

May be fixed by version 1.10.2.

Version 1.10.2 : Finally found the right executeJSONRPC function and parameters to toogle fullscreen. So, this version of Advanced Launcher restore the Toggle Fullscreen option for Frodo, Eden and Dharma.... I hope...

Changelog :
  • Restore Toogle Fullscreen option.
  • Fix executeJSONRPC function.

Still does not start everything properly after the 1.10.2 update Sad
The rollback function is greyed out. Tried uninstalling and installing 1.9.1 from the zip downloaded from here, but then I only get a whole bunch of script errors.

That's effectively not normal that the 1.9.1 version was greyed out. If the version 1.9.1 has been correctly installed you must have acces to it form rolling back option. Unfortunately I do not have any control on this.

Now It's not normal that the 1.9.1 version give you errors, but you do not have them before. One thing you can try first is to rebuilt the Advanced Launcher database (launchers.xml file). To do this you just have the modifiy something into Advanced Launcher (launcher or item title for example), then the launchers.xml file will be automatically rebuilded. Then try to start something. If you still have an error message, please, post here the content of your xbmc.log file (just after de problem occurs) to see exactly what is going wrong. Because you are using an old GIT version of XBMC, the error could be related to a lot of things.

RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - SwedishGojira - 2012-10-23

I am not on an old GIT build anymore as I built a new version of XBMC from GIT yesterday in the hopes that maybe it would work betetr, but it did not. After I built the new XBMC the rollback option was greyed out.

As I could not rollback I removed the 1.10.2 version via the add-on menu and installed the 1.9.1 version via the downloaded zip-file. I then got error from "addon.py". If I update the plugin to 1.10.2 I still don't get an option to rollback.

I'll do some tests when I get home tonight and post some logs.
