marjanovich Wrote:Hey finally decided to try the latest and greatest code (which will save me a crapload of time now that I'm not hand entering everything) and there seems to be a bug or something for me, tested this on both an existing xbmc setup and just made a fresh clean install of xbmc v10 and your v.90 and getting the same error on both machines.

I can manually choose fanart/covers and the autoscraping works for emulators (auto populates fanart/covers) but for some reason I cannot seem to add them to stand alone programs, just getting errors.

Windows 7 Professional x64 - XBMC v10

Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback. It will be fixed in the next version. Wink

It is now fixed by the version 0.9.1. Sorry for the delay.

nekoarashi Wrote:Angelscry, yes I have them zipped in the format that mame reads them eg: tattass.zip ,sftm.zip.. etc and it shows all roms as "not found" status from mameworld, including covers, date..etc
I have just make a try using the sames roms as you, and the Advanced Launcher was able to get all the information correctly using MameWorld scrapers. What I can suggest you is to try the last version (0.9.1) and make another test. If it is not working post here your launchers.xml file. You may have a mistake into your MAME launcher configuration.

The-Boxhead Wrote:Pretty much the same here, zsnes works perfect but with mame and fceu screen flickers for a second then nothing more.

DaGround Wrote:I just switched from th standart repo launcher to the advanced repo and cant run the emulators too. if i leave the argument blank, i dont get anything. if i put in %rom%, it just launches the emulator for snes game zdnes, anything else makes just xbmc flicker for a second. maybe this helps to solve the prob. (wind7 ult 64bit, dharma 10.0, aeon 2.6, adv launcher 0.9)

It is now fixed by the version 0.9.1.

Hi guys I'm having a problem, I can't seem to launch any of my emulators after the update. I had the same problem before from the previous update but fixed it by removing the settings XML but tried it now but still not working.

Hey Angelscry, so an array of interesting errors occurred.WHen I scrape my mame or SNES all are shown as not found and they add to the database very quickly, when I scrape individual titles 99% of them have available data that is accessible except for a few which give the addon.py error. I feel that I am very close to solving this puzzle lol. What files do you need from me exactly? I will give them to you soon as filefront is back up. sorry if poor english Big Grin

The-Boxhead Wrote:Also any one got a gamepad working with zsnes and linux ?

Take a look at these: http://canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=13_195_200&item_id=026397

I bought four of them and have been using them with zsnes for the past couple of weeks. I used zsnes' GUI to map the buttons (a 2 min process) immediately after plugging them in. There was nothing to be done in Ubuntu to get them recognized.

The only trick is to make sure you have the "dmode" activated on the controller before trying to map the up/down/left/right buttons. It still works if it's off, but you have to release the first direction before hitting the second - meaning it's nearly impossible to do some things (like majority of "moves" in SF2) in game. But with "d/mode" on they're flawless.

They also work great with mupen64plus (just had to add the device name to the config file).

These are refurbished (you can also get new for $40), but all 4 of mine (and the 4 that a buddy bought 2 months ago) came in brand new condition. Hard to find a better deal on wireless controllers -especially ones that work without a hassle in Linux.

This is the configuration setup of Advanced Launcher for Nestopia and ZSNES in Windows.

For me, if it scrap the info very quickly and did not report any error, that's mean that you have not activated the "automatic import during scan" option into the add-on settings menu. What I need is the launchers.xml file into \XBMC\userdata\addon_data\plugin.program.advanced.launcher\ directory

Please, give me your launchers.xml file. I cannot tell you what is wrong if I do not know the parameters you use for launching those games. Actually zsnes and project64 works perfectly wit XBMC/ALA on my Windows 7 system.

@Angelscry: Is there any ETA when we'll get the pre-run-command option? ALA is developing into the most useful Add-On for XBMC and I'm looking forward to another great enhancement. Wink

As you see on the previous post, some users actually encounter difficulties to run emulators under Windows. It is actually my priority to fix those problems. Fixing problem is always my priority prior to add new features. When those bugs will be fixed, I will works on the pre-run command option. It is not reasonable to start working on a "pre-run command" when the "run command" is not 100% functional. I hope you understand. Wink
