I'm going to go out on a limb here for ronie and say the new way seems to be working better for the way the skin is designed.

The actor views are pretty well self contained, though - so the recentlyadded method may work just fine as well.

Ronie? Thoughts?

i would yes, but i don't really know how to deal with it, i've got the data, yes, but it can differs between different actor, as you see, somes have "relatives" or "spouse" data, others have not.

ronie need some fixed data to work with, put data1, data2, data3 properties and fill it with what i got? yes, but we don't know the content...

Well that's not a huge deal I suppose. Even if the Bio is just one clump that varies between actors, its at least something.

i just read through this ENTIRE thread and i'm very impressed with all the work and effort being done on this project

i saw alot of "here and there" comments with tweak this and change that, and this is for "younger people" or "magic books"... and i'm 100% behind all decisions you guys made:

i fucking love it and can't wait for your release date.... you should get a small 2 or 3 page webpage going to let people know its being built and they can sign up to be told of the release date, or sign up for beta testing... even a donation button would be good

So... I'm thinking about this newsfeed thing and wondering how to take it? So far the feeds I have planned are:

1. Movie News - movie home (user defined; some default)
2. TV News - tv home (user defined; some default)
3. Actor News - custom feed by name in google aggregator + potential user defined (here I'm thinking something like adding a feed from one of celebrity photo sites - but would have to be defined per actor... in the nfo?)
4. Music News - music home (user defined[punknews.org]; some default [mtv news?])
5. Artist News - custom feed by artist name in google aggregator?
6. Photos - what could we provide here? I'm thinking a feed like at deviantart.com - need to see if sites like picasa or flickr provide user feeds of latest added images? I'm pretty sure they do, might be a nice addition)
7. Programs - Dunno.
8. Settings - I'm thinking here to provide the XBMC news feed?

While I'm thinking about this... I'd like to somehow add some twitter integration. Particularly for actors (lots of twitters) and music artists (again lots). What is standing in my way is somehow to define their feeds. I'm guessing we need to add as a line in the nfo potentially? And of course, I need a script like the rss feed script to integrate them with the skin. Thoughts?

I guess I'm wodering how much interest there is in all of this? I think the current functionality on the movies and television page is awesome, and wondering how far I should go in adding it throughout the skin.
