Is this using the IEWrapper or Internet Explorer browser method? If you right-click on a movie when using Silverlight it just produces the Flash settings.

No you right click in XBMCFlicks. Navigate to what you want to add, right click the mouse or use the remote to get to the context menu and there is an option to add item to the instant queue.

Then go to the instant queue folder in XBMCFlicks and it opens IE and plays the video.

I managed to add things to my queue but they still wont play. It almost did, looked like it was thinking hard about it (unlike trying to play stuff not from the queue) but eventually it gave up and gave me the home page. I'll try again later in case that was down to a crap connection as the router needed a reboot soon after I tried this.

That's strange, definately doing it for me. This instant queue thing is bizarre though. UK accounts don't have access to an instant queue, even when accessing US content with a VPN but it must be there. I can add things to the instant queue and then fire up Windows Media Center and use its Netflix app which, although wont play anything, does bring up those items in the instant queue. This means it isn't just XBMCFlicks "remembering" what I've selected, it must be storing the queue at Netflix's end.

How do you install this on an Apple TV? I've gone in to get add ons and looked for xbmc.org but cannot see it as an option.

What am I missing? Does this not work on Apple TV?

Any help appreciated.

According to the first post it uses Silverlight so I doubt it will work on an aTV.

Where is the addon? I can't find it in the repo. This has been asked a couple of times, but so far no one has answered it, so I figured I'd ask again.

Ah, I see that it's listed in the Dharma repo, but not the Eden repo (according to the wiki). Since it was tested and working in Eden, is there any other way to get the addon and install it manually? Or is there some way to force Eden to see and use the Dharma repo?

*edit*
Ok, I should have searched more than just a few pages back. Found the link to the addon.

Hello, I just installed this addon in XBMC running on my apple tv 1G... in the configuration I set OSX to Yes then I open the plugin and I get this message:
Click OK after you finish the link in your browser window.

Can somebody help me by telling me what is the next step?

Thanks in advance.

However when I try and play a title from xbmc, it loads the full screen IE on Window 1. Any idea how I can get it to load on Window 2?

Anyone know how to fix this?

I wonder you can view accounts outsides the U.S.? I am in Brazil and can not watch movies from my account.

- gates78 - 2012-01-20

you should change your IP to american IP , then you can watch 'em
use software for that

Friend, in Brazil have the netflix problem is that I view the movies on my account that is Brazil.

- Icarus3000 - 2012-01-20

Thank you xbmcsnapper. I followed your suggestions, and I think I am almost there...

EDIT: I fixed the problem. Used the solution found here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpromedia/thread/064c1eae-5d0c-4a66-b387-b509d27fd67a

Now when I click on a video it starts to load, but only gets to 7%. Then I get this error message from within the netflix window:

Code:
Internet Connection Problem
Error Code: N8106-152
An Internet or home network connection problem is preventing playback.  Please check your Internet connection and try again.
If the problem persists, please call Netflix at 1-877-499-4427.

I doubt it is a "real" internet or connection problem, as I can view the same videos just fine directly through internet explorer, and this error only pops up when I try to run through XBMC.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

xbmcsnapper Wrote:Yes - works for me in Canada with Eden beta. Also worked in Dharma. Canadian account. No VPN. With XBMC Flicks I can browse, search, instant queue, playback, it's all good. The only thing that isn't working perfectly yet is the browser doesn't obtain focus when playback begins, so I have to click somewhere onscreen before my MCE remote commands will work. Then I can full-screen, escape, pause and play. And Alt-F4 to kill it.

Unfortunately, I did not document all of the things I had to revise/fiddle with to get where I am now, but I have enabled the Canada option in the XBMC-Flicks add-on config setup, I am using IE9 (although you can apparently use any browser you want - see post #192), and the latest version of Silverlight on W7/64. I also tried the IE wrapper which also works, but I don't see why anyone would need that. If I recall correctly, the Canadian-specific changes I had to make were in the iqueue.py file, changing all occurrences of "http://www.netflix.ca" to "http://ca.netflix.com/".

Hope that helps. Other than that, I can only suggest reading through all of fekker's posts.

Where do I download - cablecar1 - 2012-01-21

Check my post a few above yours - I searched the thread (like I should have before I posted) and found the link, and the explanation why this isn't in the repo yet.
