@ andrewf and tentacruel Setting it up to the "t" from first page fixed my issue. Thanks. In the process of trying to make my own custom Fox Searchlight intro. Super awesome addon!!!!!!

andrewf Wrote:ahhh may have solved myself. I've just 'updated' from the repository and my version is only 1.0.46. A quick google search and i've now downloaded version 1.0.50. Will give it a test Smile

Nope cant get 50 to run (in MQ3). Have added button under movies, selected pre-eden. On pressing Q it says its been added then does nothing.

In 46 pressing Q ran the movie.

I have 1 feature only option selected

Huh??

What version of XBMC are you using? The latest test versions are availble on the first page(1.0.53 for Dharma and 2.0.53 for Eden)

A request.... - giftie - 2012-02-11

I need a bit of help, I need someone to write up a guide for running the script. I personally don't have the extra time as of late and I know that a Guide is much needed.

Feel free to contact me through PMs

kadeschs Wrote:This addon locks up Xbmc Eden B3 every time Cinema is clicked on under movie info. Please update the addon. Thanks.

The script is up to date for Eden(see the first page for the test version). Also there are problems in XBMC, I have a few Trac Tickets already posted. But still I need more complete debug logs to solve any problems.

Download trailers - casinatorcxc - 2012-02-13

Anyone have any tips on getting the trailers to download instead of stream? I have 2 minutes worth of slides (it says it requires the slides to be on to give it time to download) and I have selected a download folder. Am I missing something else?

Any help would be great, thanks!

Edit: A little more searching tells me it might be because my folder is not local. I can't check the issue right now, but would that be the problem?

Edit: I tried adding a local "Trailers" folder and it still doesn't work. I am working on an appleTV 2 if that makes a difference.

Absolutely fantastic addon, giftie Smile

I just wanted to register for the forum so I could post how I got it to work (using Beta 3 and the latest pre-Eden version). Sorry if this has been covered, but I thought it might help someone (or giftie's troubleshooting).

Initially, I had set up the correct folder structure and configured the addon appropriately. However, every time I would start a movie using the 'Cinema' button and then selecting the movie from the dialog box that appeared, the movie would start without my Feature Intros, Trailers, etc.

After testing a bunch of movies (with no luck), I finally got to one movie that didn't appear in the dialog box. Since I figured it wouldn't work properly with a movie that didn't appear in the dialog box, I pressed the Back button on my remote to return to my movie list. But wait! The Movie Theatre Intro played, but skipped my Coming Attractions and Trailer. Now we're getting somewhere!

I went back to the movies that didn't work, clicked the 'Cinema' button but this time I didn't select the correct movie in the dialog box. Instead, I just pressed the Back button on my remote and it worked again. Unfortunately, still no Coming Attractions or Trailer.

I went into the addon's Configure page and disabled the options to pick a trailer 'by the movie's MPAA rating' and 'by the movie's genre' since I figured there was a chance that it wasn't reading that info correctly (because I wasn't picking a movie from the dialog box). I tried the movie again, pressing the Back button at the dialog box, and this time everything worked.... Movie Theatre Info, Coming Attractions, Trailer, Feature Intro, etc.

I'm not sure why selecting the correct movie in the dialog box doesn't work, but I'm guessing that the reason why the Coming Attractions Intro and Trailers don't work when you press the Back button (instead of selecting the movie from the dialog box) is due to the fact that without the movie information, the addon can't correctly choose a trailer with the right MPAA rating or genre. So, when you disable them in the Configure page of the addon, the addon is able to pick any trailer to play, thereby removing the issue.

Hope this all made sense and it helps someone Smile And once again, sorry if this has been posted, but I checked a few pages back and didn't see anything.

Edit: I should note that for the trailers, I selected 'Apple Movie Trailers (newest)' and 'Stream' and I've enabled the XBMC Apple Movie Trailer addons (as indicated by giftie).

At the moment saving to a network drive is not available(Eden version) it will be(it has to do with network drives are a Virtual filesystem)

I would need to see a debug log for the second part(local folder not working on ATV2)

Here is my log

http://pastebin.com/3r2qtphy

I have also been having trouble getting the trivia to work (standard slides work fine). In that log I wasn't running trivia, just the slides. When we get the download function working we will switch to the trivia question.

Thanks in advance!

You'll need to run again with XBMC in Debug mode. Though I am going to guess that your slides are on a network drive(since you are using an ATV2) There is an issure with network drives and the programming language of addons. A debug log for you will help me narrow down the work around.

Sorry, here is my debug log

Right now I want to focus on the trailers issue because you are right, I was trying to pull the trivia from my network.

Thanks!

It looks like XBMC(or technically the user running XBMC) does not have write permissions to that folder -> /var/mobile/Trailers/

Is there anyway to apply cinema experience to Xperience 1080. Thank you all.

dwayned Wrote:Is there anyway to apply cinema experience to Xperience 1080. Thank you all.

You will need to change the following files:

skin.xperience1080\1080i\DialogVideoInfo.xml -> http://www.mediafire.com/file/rc86zs45o8bxdz6/DialogVideoInfo.xml
skin.xperience1080\media\textures.xbt -> http://www.mediafire.com/file/dzvaotan1zm2coo/textures.xbt

It's not perfect(I didn't spend much time on it.) but it does add a Cinema button to the Video Info overlay.

Cheers giftie for pointing that out. Must have had my eyes shut. And thanks for the quick reply, not so me....

I believe I am using xbmc live version 10.1. Afraid I haven't dared to update it to a newer version (I assume there is one) forfear of overrighting all my saved styles, favourites etc on the skin.

Talking of the skin, can anyone help advise if I am doing something wrong. In MQ2 cinema is already a main menu option alongside movies. I've tried to duplicate this in MQ3 by using the option to create your own by attaching an addon to a menu button. I've doen this but cannot get it to run.

FYI runs fine going via the movie when selecting it through the movies main menu and then information.
