I need a debug log. Not regular log. Read the instructions on the first page of this thread.

I apologise in advance, because I feel like this must have been asked before and be covered somewhere, but I can't find it (not too sure what to search).

Can you have Cinema Experience load whenever you hit play on a movie rather than needing to go to the info pane?

This function is skin dependant e.g. T! has the option in skin settings of 'Show CE button in the movie information window' or 'integrate CE into home movie menu buttons' .

Any way to do it with Confluence?

I switched skins to Confluence for this purpose and didn't see this option, perhaps it's possible with a close variant skin.

There is a setting in the script to override the play button. You will need to restart xbmc after saving the settings

It doesn't always work 100% of the time.

(2013-08-06, 02:35)GrrArrgh Wrote: Hey, so I'm having a weird issue where Cinema Experience doesn't seem to be running at all. I tried it out by installing on my laptop (OSX Mountain Lion, Transparency skin) and then once I got it working, decided to install it on my main living room media server (OSX Lion (not mountain lion), Transparency skin). I've tried to replicate everything exactly the way I had it on the laptop, but on my main computer, I never get the indication at the top of the screen that cinema experience is on (and I have that setting turned on on both computers). On my laptop, when I press Q, it queues the movie correctly and the script runs through fine. On my media server, when I press Q, it simply forwards me to the next movie in the list, as if I'm pressing the right arrow.

Just in case a file got corrupted, I completely uninstalled and re-installed XBMC and all files on the main computer. Prior to that, I disabled and re-enabled cinema experience, and uninstalled and reinstalled it. The main differences between the two installations are the OS version and on the server computer, the video files and the xml file I'm pointing the script to are on an attached Drobo. XBMC has no problems seeing or playing the video files normally if I just select things manually (not using cinema experience).

I'm new to XBMC, so even basic suggestions would be helpful.

ETA: here's my log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=42832

I'm still not able to get cinema experience working. Any idea what's going wrong?

The script doesn't run from the Addons/Programs window. First you need to set up the addon setting(accessible from the context menu when you have the addons selected) then starting the addon depends on your skin.

Though your log does show an error and is is caused by a missing import, I think if you set your settings, the error will not happen.

Huh, I went to Settings > Add-ons , and it's showing Cinema Experience as enabled. I guess I'm lost because I can't find the context menu you're talking about. I've tried Add-Ons > Cinema Experience > Settings > Ok, and that doesn't change anything.

Hi folks,

Looking for something simple, but couldn't find it in the search.

How do I edit the home_automation.py file to fire off a URL on a certain trigger?

I want to pause my SABNZBD (http://IP:PORT/sabnzbd/api?mode=pause&apikey=...) when I start the streaming trailers, and resume when they are done.

I know where to put it in the file, but am uncertain with the syntax.

go to your movie library and press 'I' or select Movie Information from the context menu.

you should see a little film projector icon to the the lower right of 'extras' (with my skin at least). that will launch CE

So currently I have it like this

The first video that plays is from Intro folder

What I would like really to be able to add another folder to play random adverts from Advert folder which has stuff like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nalcL9NgIGU in and Coca-Cola M&M etc adverts any suggestions on how to do is?

At what point in the CE script do you want your adverts to play? Don't know about you but I haven't used all the special video slots so I would just look at moving things around a bit until it suits your needs. For example: if you want adverts right before the trailers you could use either the Trivia outro slot OR the movie trailers intro slot...just depends on how you have it set up.

Now that I am using slides I can set the adverts to play as slide intro video so everything set the way I want it to be!

Thanks, I appreciate it, but I guess I'm still not getting it. I have it working on another computer, so I don't think it was that hard to set up. I'll just run down what I see: Pressing "I" on a movie brings up the following menu: Queue item, Add to favourites, Movie information, Mark as watched, Edit title, Remove from library, and Update library. Clicking on Movie information gives me these buttons: Cast, Play, Refresh, and Extras. There's a movie reel icon, but pressing that plays youtube trailers.

From the Home screen, if I right click, I get Library, Genres, Year, Actors, Directors, Studios, Recently Added, and Video Add-Ons. There's no way to select Cinema Experience from there. Once I'm in the Movies video library, I don't see any way to enable Cinema Experience. The movie reel icon in the upper right plays youtube trailers. I really don't see any way to get this working.

RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - phreaq - 2013-08-08

when you press I, select 'movie information' (my 'I' opens movie information directly)
