Australian Film Classifications - vendril - 2011-01-05

For any who are interested I pulled these 10 second clips straight from the Film Classification website of Australia. The are not very big but I am working on getting some Hi-Res ones. Will upload them when/if i'm successful.

Not sure how they will fit in as a .avi and not a still though for HTE...

I've been using the trailer feature since it was first implemented and have over a thousand good quality trailers downloaded. Unfortunately they are in the movie folder associated with the trailer, as this is how xbmc gets to them via the movie info button.

Is there a way for me to use my 'local files' in HTE without having to create copies of all my trailers and have them in a single directory?

I ask because it's still good to have a preview of a movie before watching it, in case i'm just browsing and don't want to use HTE.

If the majority of your movies are located in one location(ie a movies folder) you can set that as a local folder. Make sure you set the trailer scraper to Local to make this work. The more movies you have the long it will take to find trailers.(it took about 1/2 minute to search my 900 movies)

Is anyone else having a problem if its set not to play trailers that have already been viewed? I seem to crash whenever I have that option selected.

I CANNOT get it to crash either with that selected. milhouse34521, maybe try a fresh install of the script. ie uninstalling it first. Just a thought.

Ok, I *love* this script but I can't seem to get it to run my X10 "lights off" python script. This script runs from the commandline if I use "python HTE_Lights_OFF.py", but if I simply select it inside the HCE "Misc" section, it doesn't work...

Any suggestions?

The only other request would be a home automation script in more than one spot. For example, I have the main lights in the room and also some overhead "cove" lights that I'd like to stay on until the "Feature Presentation" video starts. In short, I would like to see:

1) Main lights off at beginning of HCE script.
- this is working now, not by the MISC setting, but by hacking the skin's XML file to RunScript Smile
2) Overhead lights off at "Feature Presentation" intro video.
- like I said, may have to be hacked into the plugin's code, but I'm not sure where or how, haha!

Is this possible? I think it would have to be hacked into the main python file for the script.cinemaexperience (maybe?) but I'm not sure where to put it...

Just checked through the script. I guess that 'feature' is not yet a feature.. Smile

If you could put in a spot for a script to fire at different sections, that would be superb Wink

I just upgraded to the latest version. The script seems to stall out when the message Randomizing Trivia Slides is displayed. If I wait long enough, it seem to continue with the rest of the sequence.

When this happens, XBMC can no longer be closed and since it has total control of the screen, I can't bring up task manager to kill it. Have to reboot the computer.

I am in the process of removing HCE and the data files and re installing for a second time.

EDIT: The key seem to have been clearing out the HCE addondata folder. I am not sure if it was the watched_trailers file or the HCE.xml file that was the problem.

A question for you.. After you upgraded, did you go into the settings and click on ok?

There was a change to the settings, for the music playlist feature. It looks like I may need to put in some code that forces the settings screen to open when the script is run(if needed, as the last update there was a fair bit of coding)
