If it's any help, here is my own version of Giftie's excellent template (and credit to Sekhmet too).

It is built from the bottom-up in GIMP. The circles are smoother (mathematically perfect) and the shadows are more even.

I have also added paths for the rings, which are extremely useful when you are trying to position things - you can just make the paths visible and it gives you a useful guide.

Everything else works exactly as Giftie's tutorial.

So what layers do i need to use or not use? Because disc shadow is off
Had some problems because the white layers was visble so screwed up some cdarts.

What do I do, when my logo isn't associated with a TV-show?

What do you mean?
If it isn't on fanart.tv do this:
Kode Wrote:http://fanart.tv/topic/cant-add/

http://fanart.tv/topic/cannot-find-show/#post-769

http://fanart.tv/topic/adding-music-artists/#post-949

If not on thetvdb.com add it there first.

I uploaded it, but something must have went wrong, because it's not assosciated with any TV-show.

A link to the file and show in question would be the first step...

Also it probably just means there is no english title for the show, it should still work though.

There are currently 66 shows with no english title.

My bad, I perhaps should have turned the white layer off, I have now. The "Disc shadow" layer is purely optional, I have added the word "OPTIONAL" to it - I personally, never use it).

The rest of the "shadow" layers go from the outside in, so from 2nd to 1st to hole shadow.

You must remember, NO template is perfect as it stands - they are designed to apply certain constraints and to help get other bits right - you WILL need to resize shadow layers to get them aligned to your particular disk. Smile

I know I have been promising for ages to do a tutorial on Cd arts and I have started, but I've been held up a bit by a major cumputer failure, where my watercooler decided to leak all over my components, so it's thrown me off schedule slightly! It's taken me a few months to replace the motherboard and the GPU (CPU survived thank goodness!) but I'm getting there, I haven't forgotten Smile

- Kode - 2011-12-01

looking forward to it jack Smile

I've managed to get some work done on the new site, so it's finally starting to take shape Smile

I'd like to use your tutorial and template on the new site so whenever you are ready Wink

As posted on the fanart.tv forums

Quote:We are going to be adding language support on the new site, so we need to tag all the current tv images with the right language.

You can all help out by going to http://fanart.tv/api/language_fix_tv.php a random set of 40 images will be loaded with english set by default, please check the images and change any that need changing, if there are any you don’t know the language of, change it to Unknown.

This won’t actually set it to anything, so it will come up again, but other users might know what the image is and you are unlikely to come across it again until the amount of images to process is a lot smaller

You need to be logged in to see the list.

You need to be registered and logged in to help.

As of this post there are 11,150 images that need tagging, so we would appreciate your help in this.

If you aren't sure of the language please don't guess, just set it to unknown.
