Definitely +1 for bannerplex view across tv shows/seasons and episodes.
+1 also for the "New" overlay! Great idea to keep the overlays to a minimum.

I've also notice that XBMC abbreviated the date in the latest build, so you may want to shrink the overlay for a bit.

I love this skin. Thanks to BigNoid for all the great work. I'm using it on the apple tv2 and it is very fast across all the menus apart from the transition from home screen into tv show library or movie library. There is a pause of about 8sec before it launches those video libraries. BigNoid is there any options or any developments coming that might improve the speed of moving into the video libraries?

Disabling views should eliminate this problem. I measured with debug on and fps drop when entering library is significantly less when you have only 3 views enabled for example. You can disable the views in Sytem-->Skin-->Enable Viewtypes.

@ Big_Noid YEEESSSS!!!! That looks great!!! i know it's asking for much, but is it at all possible to have this view switch between banner and landscapes? like the mockup i made earlier? Maybe just name the view "Plex"? the MQ2 skin has a similar option to switch between the 2. here how their landscape view looks....
no biggie if it's not possible. just sharing ideas.
PS. i like the new overlays. and option to toggle them on or off would be ideal.

First of all thanks for this great skin. It is runs very smooth and looks great. I have one question however. In the showcase view, could it be possible to show the full plot in the info panel instead of just the outline? That would be really great.

in the aeon mq2 thread someone posted that with the latest nightly build the entering of a library was faster then with the last final release.

I switched my htpc to linux two weeks ago and if you think it's smooth on windows you really should check out XBMC live. Everything is so much snappier.
Yeah, it's a pain getting everything to work (harmony, imon lcd mainly) but when it's done it really is worth the effort.

Linux makes all the difference in the world. Don't forget to use DDS Fanart, if your graphic card supports it, for a truly fast experience. XBMCFreak also has a build of live with updated video drivers and some extras for anyone that's interested. http://www.xbmcfreak.nl
