I'm planning on releasing this very soon. Does anyone have any bugs to report before I do?

When I open channel configuration it hangs at 40%.

Nice catch. Fixed.

One more minor issue (does not occur very often)

Unable to exit ptv (stuck in loop).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Hit stop to close ptv
2. Quickly hit up or down arrow
3. Now you are stuck, you see the main menu however it changes the PTV channels when you try to navigate.

Jason102 Wrote:SandmanCL: You're using a very old version of PTV. Download the newest stable-pre from the repository (link on the first page) and try that out.

I downloaded the "latest development version" from your first post. Today upgraded to v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6

The version names seem all over the place. Both v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6 and v1.2.0-0-gd09ebd8 are identified as version 2.0.0 by XBMC.

v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6 gives me "Unable to populate channels"
v1.2.0-0-gd09ebd8 gives me the error "No valid channel data found"

Debug log:

The development version is 2.0.0. Going to version 1.2.0 is not an upgrade...as the numbering scheme implies. Going to 1.0.0 from there is also not an upgrade. Use the development version.

As far as seeing 2.0.0 on all of them, XBMC won't recognize a version change from different files until it is restart.

Make sure to choose the stable-pre branch from the switch branches option.

Jason102: I just updated my prior post with better (?) info. So version v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6 is the one currently linked to from your first post and I am getting the "Unable to populate channels" error. Any ideas ?

Regarding categorizing this plugin as a Program plugin rather than a Video plugin: If I want to change this myself (since I usually have Programs hidden from the homepage), where would look ?

When switching to stable-pre in the repository and chose to download v1.0.0 I get v1.0.0-0-g1ea3365 which seems older than v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6.

Definitely looking forward to having this plugin in the official repository Cool
A lot of things don't work for me. For example, on the channel configuration screen I get no options for the Studio, Network, etc. The up/down arrows are there, but I can't select anything. If I click ok after going there, the channel list then shows nothing under content.

Could this be some permission issue preventing the plugin from being installed properly ?

From log:

Code:
22:49:33 T:5084   ERROR: script.pseudotv-ChannelList: Unable to locate the playlist for channel 1
22:49:33 T:5084   ERROR: script.pseudotv-ChannelList: Unable to locate the playlist for channel 2
[...]
22:49:33 T:5084   ERROR: script.pseudotv-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 20
22:49:33 T:5084   FATAL: script.pseudotv-TVOverlay: FATAL ERROR: Unable to populate channels. Please verify that youhave scraped media in your library and that you haveproperly configured channels.

I do have media scraped. Tons of TV shows and movies.

Btw: Typo in fatal error message. Missing space in "youhave". I'll hold off on filing a bug report ;-)

@zepfan: any plans for making a Confluence skin ? It is the default skin, after all Smile

- Lunatixz - 2011-10-06

when changing the channel both the xbmc info and pseudotv info box comes up any way to just have the pseudo window?

Edit: Jason, the stable-pre branch seems to be downloading the v1.0.0 for some reason. Just tested and it indeed downloads "Jasonra-XBMC-PseudoTV-v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6". It's probably a naming issue with GIT as the version in the addon.xml is 2.0.0.

There is already a Confluence skin.

When I do that I still get v1.0.0-158-g3ae5ae6. Is this, or is this not, the most recent version ?

It looks to be a naming issue with GIT. The version of the addon is indeed 2.0.0 going by what the addon.xml states.

There should be a confluence skin, Sran made it ( I think).
