You probably should figure out what you are doing with XBMC first before you start trying to use the various plugins that are available. That said, please have a go at the Wiki to get a grasp of what "Scraped Media" is.

Does anyone know much about altering the keymap? I would like to set up XBMC so that when PSTV is running the buttons act differently to normal, so that pressing 'Guide' on my Harmony remote brings up the guide, rather than pressing enter?

That's funny, I was just trying to figure out the same thing for my Harmony. I had a look through the files and think it might be in the Globals.py in the ACTIONS, but I'm not sure how to map these properly. I think they link to the key.h in xbmc?

I'm having a problem with channel sharing on an smb share.
I have channel sharing enabled and it's set to:

In the PseudoTV folder I have settings2.xml setup with all the channels I want (this was generated and copied from another install). When I open PseudoTV, it creates the cache folder and the two sub-folders (generated and stored).
After a few minutes, it comes back saying no channels are configured and I need to go into the channel config. I go into settings, run the channel config and this appears in the log:

After that error, the config manager starts up but it's empty, then Initial Channel Setup opens about 10 seconds later but just sits at 60%.
I get that error above if I manually create FileLock.dat -- even though the file gets renamed the error says it can't. I also verified the appletv account on that share has full permission (can delete, create, etc).
Any ideas? Right now, testing on Windows 7, XBMC Beta 11.0 but I have the same issue on ATV2.

HELLO, how can i manage de advanced rules for channels? i dont understand, if i made a playlist with 4 tv shows, and i want to play the first tv show only on mondays at 9pm, its posible? how I can do? there is a tutorial or something to read?

Create 4 channels, one for each of the TV shows (Suggest channels 100-104). In each of these channels, use the advanced rules to not show the channel.
Create an additional channel (perhaps 20) with several advanced rules:
- Give the channel a new name
- For each scheduled time, add an advanced rule to play the appropriate channel at the appropriate time (channel 101 Mondays at 9 pm)

I have little to no idea, hence why I was asking here! Never looked at the advanced keymap stuff, will do when I get chance though.

No, ptv doesn't support live feeds atm...

Hello,
When doing "Best case Scheduling", could someone please tell me how the "Starting Date" in the settings works. I am not sure whether I should set the date as the day I am making the schedule or the actual date of whatever day I am scheduling.
Also....if I set a playlist to play on Monday with a starting date of 23/1/2012, will the said playlist repeat every Monday afterwards?

If you set playlist to play en monday 22:00hs, the playlist start next monday, and dont stop, untill you set times (on mondays, 22hs to 24hs for example), you can set the starting date today or 23/1/2012, it doesnt matter i think

OK, so I'm having an issue...
First off, GREAT program you've made here. Even my girlfriend loves it.
So, I've made a channel specifically to play the new show Alcatraz. It is channel 200. Its set to only play this show, and to only play unwatched items. Currently, of the 2 episodes I have, episode 2 is unwatched.
I'm trying to use channel scheduling on my A&E channel, #20, to play Alcatraz at 1PM on Sundays, so that as I add new unwatched episodes, I can always watch them at that time.
Currently, channel 20 is set just to play Drama TV shows. When I add the rule to schedule channel 200 to play Sundays at 1pm, and reload all my channels, it's not adding my show in to the channel at all.
Am I missing something here?

Firstly, mad props, I love this script.
Secondly, I noticed a few other people trying to do this too, and it not working due to a playlist bug.
This has now been fixed :-D
Mad props to Montellese for fixing this in record time. For those interested, it's fixed in https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/537253fa8f87ed6476865075e5411d428824008b
(IE, after Eden Beta 2, so it'll be in Beta 3 for those who dont compile for themselves).
What this now means is I can have a smart playlist with more than 1 studio listed, and it can then be added as a PTV channel :-D
