On 10.0-9 stable I am having a hard time with bringing up the context menu with a long press of the menu button on the atv2 remote. Sometimes the menu will appear then disappear and sometimes will go back a screen.
Not askin for help, just thought I'd mention it

After having tried a few different releases in the past couple of weeks, I'd like to put my two bobs worth.
Am on atv2 4.2.2, seasonpassed. Issues from the beginning for me are with SMB sharing/buffering and stuttering with large mkvs and compatibility.
Without getting into specifics and providing logs, found the following.
10.0.7 - Very consistent. The known issues were evident. No surprises when buffering occured or dvds or m2ts didnt play.
Keiths nightly (16-06) - Greater compatibility, especially with dvds and some improvement with m2ts (though not watchable). Stuttering eliminated and buffering reduced. Skin slow (Rapier Beta 2- not moded for nightlies)
Keiths nightly (17-04) - Buffering/smb issues present, no stuttering. Lower compatiblity with large mkvs and rar files. Skin slow and unstable.
10.0.9 - Skin quick but unstable. Compatibilty met with DVDs. Buffering present but no stuttering. Compatibility lower with large mkvs and rar files.
So far, the 16 june build is best for me.

It's not just that sometimes multiple presses are sent for a single press. So holding Menu results in you going back to the menu instead of the context menu popping up. You can see the same result just pressing up and down, sometimes it will jump 2 or 3 items at a time instead of one. I am using a modified keymapping so it might be that I haven't had time to look into it yet.

Just to be sure; you know the "Can not download information - continue scanning?" while updating movies library (themoviedb) issue is still there on the official 10.0-9 release?
I had to do a complete reinstall and had to manually try to fix the movie library because of a lot of those messages.

Definitely not just you, I have been having this problem too and it's driving me crazy, particularly since I rebuilt my databsae from scratch and have a lot of edits to make. I downloaded the PM3 skin (the only other one that works, apparently) and this fixed the problem (although the Confluence skin has a much nicer interface, IMHO. The inability to consistently pull up the context menu has plagued Confluence since I first got my AppleTV, but I haven't seen a lot of other complaints as to this issue -- Glad I'm not the only one. Use the PM3 skin and that will fix your issue.
I posted about this problem in the Confluence sub forum but never got a response.

Yeah i also noticed the context menu is harder to pull up recently. I will check my batteries but it seems it might be an xbmc problem if a few people are reporting it.

Definitely not a battery issue. I have both the AppleTV remote and a Harmony remote, both have the same exact issues with the contextual menu. I love the new look of the Confluence skin, but can't deal with the loss of function, so I'm sticking with the PM3 skin for now. Hoping some other skins get upgraded soon so they're usable!

I reported this a while ago and it is still unresolved. I thought new 10.0.9 will solve the problem but unfortunately the problem still exist. When I play mms:// videos XBMC crashes. Some videos play OK and some of them begin to play for 2 sec and then - black screen and then it takes me to the main ATV menu. (Everything works fine on ATV1)

I'm having trouble with BBC iPlayer 720p HD streams on any build after 10.0-7 (Feb 19th build). I'm using the latest version of the BBC iPlayer plugin (2.4.12) HD streams stutter from the start and are unwatchable, the same occurs whether I'm streaming them from the internet or watching locally from wired NAS drive. Standard def streams seem ok.
The same files work perfectly on 10.0-7, I've tried different skins and the newer official and nightly builds but still the same problem. I've also wiped userdata folder in /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC to do a clean install.
I'm using IOS 4.2.1 (8C154)
Debug log under 10.0-8 official build linked below, but I have this issue with 10.0-9 and nightlys. In it I'm watching a few seconds of HD stream, relevant stuff seems to be from about line 540: http://pastebin.com/1xJHPUza
