Shutdownstate does not work - felix.rommel - 2011-03-21

Hello Dushmaniac, in your newest build

11.0-pvr+odk6~git20110313.1f2654c~ppa+odk6~lucid

shutdownstate in guisettings.xml doesn't work. I tried it with value "3" but when pressing the power icon in shutdown dialog, computer turns off.

But when I choose suspend in shutdown dialog, computer goes to "suspend to ram" state and wakes up without any problems.

It seems xbmc does not interprete the shutdownstate tag in guisettings.xml any more!?

PS: Do you have a paypal button somewhere - I want to donate you some EUR for your work at the PVR part?

haven't tested it yet. probably isn't implemented correctly atm
Quote:another question is where are the recordings stored? I go to Recordings- HtsTvHeadend and I can see my recordings but what if I want to transfer the recorded files to another folder?
you can configure that in tvheadend's webui. it's /var/lib/recordings by default

this could be an issue in mainline or in the package. I'll have a look.

it could take a few seconds before you can access the pvr window. the pvrmanager is starting up in the background. the dialog message "no pvr clients available..." isn't correct yet.

channel order should work fine in the ppa build. if not, it'll work in the next build (planned for later this week)

10x!

Hello,

probably i have an easy to solve problem. i configured tvheadend as discribed in the first post.

all worked fine until this point:

Quote:Configuring XBMC
After installing, you can head to http://yourserver:9981/ to access the web interface and configure the backend.

After you configured the backend, start up XBMC and go to System -> Addons -> Installed -> PVR clients -> Tvheadend HTSP Client. Choose "configure" and fill in the requested information. Then choose "enable" to enable the PVR client.

Go back to System and choose TV -> General -> Activate.

Now you can start using Tvheadend from within XBMC by accessing the LiveTV in the main menu.

what should i configure in the backend server? is it the same webinterface as in the steps before? is there a difference between http://yourserver:9981/ and http://yourmachine:9981/ if i am running tvheadend at the same machine?

second problem: what should i configure in XBMC TVheadend HTSP client? what is the ipadress? iss the port needed, too (something like http://192.168.178.xx:9981/ ), or just the ipadress? i always get an error: "Add-on could not be loaded. Could not connect"

i entered the same ip adress, user and password as for the webinterface. i can already watch tv over vlc by downloading the little streamfiles (dont know how the vlc plugin is installed for firefox).

please help, and sorry for my bad english

Mikenike

meh, that's just a typo (fixing it). it's the same machine.

you should enter the ip address or host name. no port numbers. (so "192.168.178.x" without quotes).

if you're still having problems, please pastebin your full debug log so I can see what's going on.

edit:
fixed

Hi Dushmaniac,

I've been using your new builds of tvheadend and xbmc-pvr for a few days now and I must say: Well Done!! Works like a charm, zapping speed has been improved a lot! I only got one "issue":

When I zap in full screen from channel to channel (with remote), after a few channels (2, 3 or 4), xbmc crashes and restarts. This is every time I try this.

Here is the xbmc log

Thanks!

- opdenkamp - 2011-03-23

could you install gdb and post the contents of the crashlog that's produced please.

Code:
sudo apt-get install gdb

- XanDaph - 2011-03-23

Hmmm, thanks, but help me out here... I installed the debugger, but don't have a clue what next to produce the crashlog...

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks!

- opdenkamp - 2011-03-23

if you start xbmc from the console, it'll tell you where it put it's crashlog (if it crashes).

it's normally somewhere in your home directory (and otherwise, use the search!)

- mikenike - 2011-03-23

Thanks for the help.

I am one step further ;-) the client seems to have connected. The Live TV Button in the Main menu works, I can see all the channels, I have EPG... but i cant watch. there is a popup that says:

no service assinged to channel

Oo

- opdenkamp - 2011-03-23

tvheadend appears to be misconfigured.

remove all channels in the tvheadend webui and use the "map dvb services to channels" button.

Thanks! Will try this tonight! But I think it's skin related. I installed the lastest version of the transparency skin (svn) and that one seems to work fine.

- mikenike - 2011-03-23

ok, i did some updates over synaptics and then i reconfigured tvheadend as discribed above... now configuration seems to be fine again, but i think with the update of xbmc something went wrong.

there is no Livetvbutton in the Mainmenu anymore -.- how do i get this again? i tryed reinstalling xbmc from the lars odenkamp repos, but it didnt help -.-

- XanDaph - 2011-03-23

Did you activate the add-on again (settings -> addons AND settings -> TV)??
