flash,
i know you are getting a lot of requests but it would be great to be able to setup the script to read from multiple rss feeds.

btw... thanks for the great efforst on this. it is people like you that "make" the community a community!

thanks very much. initially the autodownloader will just read from btfnet but when i do release a proper fully fledged version next week or week after it will be able to do that.....btw i have not really started working on it yet. i'll keep ye posted on progress but i might be bust over the next few days but there will be a version in the near future

hi flash,
i think the easiest thing to get this working with azureus (what i use) is via ftp. the azureus web interface uses some crazy java appelet to upload torrents and i am not sure if there is an easy programatical way to access it. i usually just ftp torrents into a special folder and set azureus to scan that folder every few minutes for torrents.

the suprnova lister script on the download page has the ftp functionality in it and you could canibalize that code pretty quickly if you feel like it.

ok here is the autodownloader part of this app. there are plenty of instructions in the readme file. it will download to local dir, abc client and ftp so that should keep everybody happy!

that was quick flash, thanx for the great work.

unfortunately it wont work for me with the 15/1/2004 build of xbmc python that i have. the script says running for a second then stops. and it wont work with the python i use to run dreamboxtv( i have to use python thats months old). is there anyway to have a few different python folders with different versions of it and let the python scripts access the one that will work 4 them. as none of the older scripts seem to work with the newest python.

hopefully i get it sorted it out so i can run everything i want with the same python. thanx again

there is nothing fancy in the script at all. it should be able to run on python months old. as i said in the readme file there is no gui to go along with this script. if you do run it from the xbmc it will just run and never stop. since it stops straight away then there might be a problem. i sometimes find that just after turning on my xbox and xbmc that scripts will not run, if i simply restart and try again they work ok. if you look in the debug screen. info button on the remote does it say anything.,

- kaisersose - 2005-01-22

the debug info screen doesnt come up with the build i am using and i tried to add it(theres a guide in this forum) but it didnt work. i'll try and get a newer build of xbmc as there must be something up with this one ( but most other scripts run with it though).

managed to get the script to download 3 torrents to xbox torrent folder... but i really have no idea how to use this properly. should it be downloading episodes for me automatically?

- flash - 2005-01-23

if you are using abc on your pc then yes it will start downloading it for you. if you are downloading it to the local directory then no it will not start downloading automatically. i have not used the torrent client for the xbox but i'm sure it would be easy to modify the script to automatically spawn the download.

just incase anybody downlaoded and was trying to use the script with abc without success there was a silly bug i forgot to take out so redownload the file. cheers
