Hi , im just wondering could anyone point me in the direction where I could pick up an MCE IR receiver for an acer revo 3700 so I can use my harmony with it?

What's your local eBay URL? I'll have a quick look and see if I can see any suitable receivers. Looking on ebay.com an example is:

You often see HP receivers on eBay, and these are Microsoft compatible. For an example see:

Hi xxemmo,
I found this one from Maplin for £19.99, bought it last night for exactly the same purpose and it works out of the box. Off the top of my head I can't remember what I configured it as in the Harmony software but I'll have a look later.

Just checked the harmony settings, I installed it as Microsoft >> Windows Media Centre

Do not get this. It's not an MCE remote/receiver. It'll present itself as a keyboard and more or less be a nightmare to deal with.
