No analogue audio through HDMI on Revo (Ion) w/10.10 & Dharma - melat0nin - 2011-01-30 Hello all I'm upgrading from 9.11 to Dharma, and in doing so I formatted my Revo's disk and installed Ubuntu 10.10 x64 minimal according to the official XBMCbuntu guide (wiki.xbmc.org/?title=XBMCbuntu). I've installed the latest nVidia drivers (260.19.36) manually by downloading and installing the blob. XBMC runs, but I get no sound. Line 50 of the debug log (linked to below) says "ERROR: Unable to open audio mixer". I've experimented with several asoundrc files, and with the settings in XBMC itself, but I can't get sound. I don't want digital sound, only analogue through HDMI. It worked great on the previous installation (which was done with XCI and XBMC 9.11). Details: XBMC rev: 10.0 r35648 (Dec 17 2010) Linux: Ubuntu 10.10 x64 minimal Install method: PPA Debug log: http://pastebin.com/sLkhtE3Z ALSA version: 1.0.23 Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
