replays work fine, but the live games still dont work... But i dont see any problem with that cause they didnt even work before that changes because live coverage isnt available in germany...

Trying to get this working in my OpenELEC box. I can configure BlueCop's addon in XBMC, but when I go to launch it, I get a "script failed" error.
So I went down the path of changing the default.py file, but when I SMB into my HTPC, I can't even find the ESPN3 addon folder. In my \userdata\addon_data folder, there are folders for my youtube addon and others, but no ESPN3.
Sorry, I'm a total linux idiot -- any pointers for a noob?

Worked like a charm on Windows 7 (regular verizon internet)!
the file goes into C:\Users\username\appdata\roaming\xbmc\plugins\plugin.video.espn3\ just backup and replace default.py, restart xmbc and you're in business.
If it doesn't work, open up the file with notepad and make sure it really is the default.py file and not an error message from dropbox.com (happened to me in my first attempt.)

@bznotins -- you have to go into the addon setting, and set it to use custom files.
then run the ESPN addon, this will create the necessary folders. Then you need to configure the xml files with the necessary information.
you might need to do a search on this forum about the custom files.

Thanks! I read more through this (massive) thread and ironically got ESPN3 working on my Raspbmc box, but not my OpenELEC box still. Raspbmc has a different XMBC folder structure than OpenELEC, seemingly. More reading to do.

Just wanted to provide another confirmation that after copying the default.py from post #1521, I was able to connect to the ESPN3 live streams on Comcast. The ESPN1,2,U streams still do not work (on Comcast).

yeah... unfortunately, i don't know what URL those sites (ESPN1,2,U) are using to authenticate.
If someone can figure that out -- maybe wireshark -- then I can figure out how to redirect the URL.
unfortunately, i do not have access to these, so I can not troubleshoot.

Why did I mess with this again when live ESPN3 streams were working?!?!? I downloaded the updated default.py from your dropbox and made sure my user xml files were correct but now I'm getting script errors again. Also I'll be glad to help with providing any information you need for authenticating with ESPN1,2,U. I know how to use wireshark...

hmmm.... it seems like it is still using an old default.py.
i think i might have to suggest starting fresh -- deleting the addon, and reinstalling.
it is not getting the correct xml information. you might want to also try disabling your content provider...? for now anyway.

Can someone help me please. I have ESPN 0.9.9 plugin, I live in Canada. Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how I can get this plug in to work outside of USA,PLEASE. I also made an account.. I know some in is going to say read through the forum. But this really could benefit new users of xbmc. To give step by step instructions from the beginning until you actually see the sport live and highlights.
I will greatly appreciated this As well as many others.

This addon was working good w/ the (unblock/tunlr) before. But it has stopped working outside USA as their site change and unblock and tunlr stopped supporting these site. As i have Unblock account it does not seem to work for me.
You just download the addon offical one and replace the default.py( found in post#1521) in the addons folder depending on your platform. for windows it is : %Appdata%\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.espn3.
here is the link for default.py that need to replace.

did this but no dice. Not sure where to go from here. Working on a macbook but living in Canada
