What I suggested is temporarily setting both eden-pre and dharma versions to the same revision number thus not having to manually edit the archive. They would still be in their respective folders in the repo. That way everyone could manually download the dharma one and install it on their eden-pre without it autoupdating.
This doesn't change the fact that any dev pushing to the main repo can kill an addon for say half of the XBMC users if it relies on a brand new change/feature. And what would happen if that addon is a dependency used by more than one app...
anyway - brightsr has proven to be a skillful coder and as long as it's not too much hassle - a local workaround would be favour for all parties.

eden-pre version must be higher than dharma version. that's the rule.

GM all, anyone have a fix to what I asked yesterday?
Here is the problem
On 2.8 on ATV the icon part on the top right shows the correct graphic but the temp here in dallas is 47 degrees and it shows 7 then F
the 4 is missing what can I do to fix that , is there a file I can edit to fix it?

I found a problem of dharma version. It doesn't convert temperatures of current weather. I fixed it and it'll work correctly in next release v.2.8.1 soon.

i just installed the above zip, and while it's working for me, it never gets to work witht the 'home' screen icon in the top right of the screen, that icon just cycles through various weather scenarios!
Is that supposed to be working, or not for the time being!

Great job, but the time display (just under the city name, after the date) does not keep time. Easy fix is remove the time ( it is not important to me), or a harder fix is to refresh its display to keep time. I'm using latest release of pre-Eden (XBMCSetup-20111210-f1ae0b6-master) with Transparency skin and Weather Plus, which in my opinion are the best of their categories. Thanks for your great work!

That time is just the time of last update, not a real-time clock.

Running Win7 XBMC Dharma
WeatherPlus 2.8.1
when I run the location selector it never shows anything regardless of the city name or zip that I enter.
I have tried NOAA and Accuweather
My linux box seems to be working fine.. just this pesky win7 box.
any suggestions? I have deleted all directories with the plugin and re-downloaded.. still nothing.

your log said there's no location selected. did you run location selector in the settings, or just put the name in the "location name"?
