Norwegian TV2 Sumo - jcaa6479 - 2011-03-09

Is there anyone that know if its possible to open this page inside XBMC ? :
http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/iptv/

Its the Norwegian TV2's navigationpage for their webtv solution, most of the content is subscription based so i suppose no one have made a plugin for it, since we use XBMC for everything else it would be very nice to also have this option inside XBMC.

Im Very greatful for any tips Smile

Heisann,

In search for the same I came over this: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Using_Netflix_with_an_external_player

Just use that to redirect to the iptv link in the first post instead. Should work, but havent tried it yet.

Thank you very much for that tips, it worked perfect, just what i was looking forSmile

For closing IE and return to xbmc you have to map a button on your remote or keyboard as well.

Thanks againSmile

which button action did you map? I use the same button for starting up XBMC, but it gives me an error-dialog I have to click OK on every time. but it works!

This is really not a good solution, and as a Linux user it's not a solution at all. The problem is that TV2 is using Silverlight. This really sucks, and I wish it was banned.

Anyway, I hope someone can come up with a good solution. It would be great to watch TV2 Sumo in XBMC.

Watching sumo in xbmc would have been great Big Grin

It would have been awesome as the guy sad above if someone would make such a script or plugin Big Grin

TV2 uses silverlight, which doesn't work in linux. And it doesn't even work with Moonlight, as they always keep their plugin script thing up to date.
TV2 Sumo have been nothing but trouble since they went from the wmv plugin to silverlight.

Since late 2013, TV2 Sumo works in linux using pipelight! Big Grin

Hello. Since this thread is a couple of years old now, i'm going to ask again

Is there any following update and tv2 sumo addon for kodi? Or can anyone make one?

RE: Norwegian TV2 Sumo - takoi - 2015-03-29

Until they drop siverlight and DRM it's unlikely to every happen. Best solution you'll get is a plug-in launching an external browser that only works on some platforms.

RE: Norwegian TV2 Sumo - iceman2k3 - 2015-03-30

Ok. So you can use a external browser addon in kodi and then run sumo likely from there? Am I right ?

RE: Norwegian TV2 Sumo - takoi - 2015-04-01

Similar to how NetfliXBMC works (it presents videos in gui then opens chrome browser for playback).

RE: Norwegian TV2 Sumo - blackoutworm - 2015-09-26

A native plugin would have been nice
And seeing as TV2 Sumo recently stopped using Silverlight, developing a native plugin shouldn't be that complicated.
Sadly I'm not a developer myself.
