If some/all streams do not work, you probably need to update your librtmp. That should also fix SuperTV.

@RustyTheCat - You can get a zip here.

The good news is, this setup makes Hulu on XBMC work. The bad news is, it breaks this Canada on Demand add-on.

So, I'm sort of stuck now. I love the Canada on Demand app (thanks to looi for the update btw) but it only functions when I remove the Unblock US DNS information from my router.

I was under the impression the Unblock US DNS addresses were only supposed to kick in when I was trying to access US content. Any ideas from you fine folks what I'm doing wrong? I've tried searching this forum and Google already, but I'm thinking I'm either searching for the wrong terms, or phrasing the questions wrong.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you all.

You could use dnsmasq option in your tomato firmware router that only specificsite will use Unblockus dns. For example
server=/pandora.com/149.154.158.186 server=/netflix.com/149.154.158.186 server=/hulu.com/149.154.158.186 server=/vevo.com/149.154.158.186 server=/tv.com/149.154.158.186 .
So you just change 149.154.... to Unblockus dns

looi: "@RustyTheCat - You can get a zip here. "

That's my problem, it says, master could not be downloaded

RE: [RELEASE] Canada On Demand (Successor to CTV Properties) - creed3020 - 2012-08-16

Hi guys,

I was hoping for some help to get my COD working again. Recently my wife pointed out that HGTV was no longer working, thus I end up here Smile

So I read back to about page 46 but can't quite get COD working based on what I am doing. Recap what I did

1) Uninstalled original COD plugin (0.7.4)
2) Installed version 0.7.5 from this zip https://github.com/looi/plugin.video.canada.on.demand/zipball/master

Now when I run the plugin I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying that there was an error and that the plugin failed. I turned on debugging and created a log file. It's available here: http://filebin.ca/CLKECeuwxVb

I greatly appreciate anyone's help to getting this back up and running.

quickly creed3020, how do you get the Github link (master) you provided to save as a zip? Mine will not, and chance you can offer the zip file itself, or an explaination to download?
Thanks,
Russ

Hi Russ,
looi's github is located here:
http://goo.gl/V6w3z

Here's a screenshot of where to click to download the zip file from looi's github:
http://goo.gl/phUnl

I also mirrored that same zip file, just in case there's something else going on that prevents you from downloading it directly from github:
http://goo.gl/z0hLz
Can anyone confirm their Tou.Tv is actually working ?
Mine will only show empty categories folders, no error on screen.
Wanted to doublecheck that it's supposed to work before investigating my setup further..

Thanks,

It appears that you have an old version of Python (2.4), probably because you have an old version of XBMC. I would recommend that you upgrade, however I have changed the plugin so now it should work with your old python version. Please download it again and tell me if it works.

I use Chrome. Not sure why the link isn't working for you...

I am still on Dharma. I haven't had the time to upgrade to Eden and I haven't seen the need to upgrade yet.

I'll grab a fresh copy and try it out. Thanks for the backwards compatibility.

Posted this earlier but haven't got a response yet.. Can someone help me.
Have a weird issue with this Plugin, i can play video when i start the plugin for first time and then all next attempts to play any video fail. Even the one that played earlier.
If i re-start xbmc again it plays the first video then fails again. Is there a fix for this.

Here's the debug log: Appreciate if anyone can help.

RE: [RELEASE] Canada On Demand (Successor to CTV Properties) - RustyTheCat - 2012-08-24

looi,
your work in upgrading this plug-in has been excellent. I can now watch CTV Local News from Toronto, better than what was before, nothing!
I appreciate the time you spent.

A favour from you, though, and believe me, I don't know how difficult it will be, but can we add CTV-Barrie to the list of stations, specifically: "http://www.ctvbarrie.ca/category/news/" where the nightly newscasts are stored? It would be excellent to see some real "local" news!
Many thanks in advance
Russ

RE: [RELEASE] Canada On Demand (Successor to CTV Properties) - Icarus3000 - 2012-08-24

Is it still possible to watch family.ca with this addon?

I was reading that I should set minimum quality to "bad" and family.ca will show up, but I don't see anywhere in the configuration settings where it gives me the option to set minimum quality.

Family.ca has a decent selection of kids shows on their website, and I would love to give the kids the ability to somehow watch them through XBMC (so they can tie up the TV instead of tying up my computer!).
