Having trouble with the info key map function - queequeeg78 - 2011-03-27
For some reason the info button I have mapped to my remote stopped working ONLY under movies. It works with music and in tv shows but not in movies.
I have assigned my remote to be a keyboard emulator and its never been a problem until today. Can someone help me on this one?

If you turn on debug logging the xbmc.log will show you what keypress XBMC is receiving and what it's doing with the keypress. Look for lines with "SDLKeyboard" in them.

I'm having the same problem. It just happened recently too. After some investigation the actual info press is working as expected (like you, my music info works just fine). So I was wondering about my Video database. I decided to switch to Library mode and low and behold, its empty. I guess I mysteriously hosed my video database some how. I'm using a mysql shared database, by the way. Time for me to implement that backup script...
