RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-24

I don't know. Part of the issue is eden doesn't have all the APIs available that all the trakt utilities require. That's why TU couldn't be submitted to the official repo as is. We're considering adding back the features that can be, but TU can be installed along side this and used for the other features it offers besides scrobbling.

Still can't see this in the repo.

How would I go about installing this?

Maybe you need to force a refresh of the repo to pull down the new addon listing. Should be in a context menu when you have xbmc.org repo selected. If still not, you can install it from the github source. It has directions in the readme.

Try like said.
Force refresh on repo and should be listed under "services".
Else you can install from .zip

Ok, I've got it installed.

I've entered my username and password, enabled scobbling of movies and tv shows, set limit to 90% and watched a tv show.

Even after watching the whole show it's not showing up in trakt.

What's the best way of finding out what the problem is?

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-25

Enable debug in the settings and post your xbmc.log (at pastebin) so I can take a look.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - unabatedshagie - 2012-07-25

Do I need to enable both debug in the addon and xbmc or just the addon?

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - unabatedshagie - 2012-07-25

Ok, here's the log. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=5598

I enabled debugging on both the addon and xbmc.

I've restarted xbmc just incase that was an issue.

I changed scrobbling to 5%

I did notice that both trakt addons are giving me an error about incorrect username and or password on startup although the username and password are correct because I've successfully used them to log into trakt tonight.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-25

Just the addon, it's probably already on by default. It should show notification events and API responses.
Did you have anything installed prior to 1.0.0? Like the old dharma 0.1.5 or trakt utilities 0.6.5?
Yeah, the bad login is definitely the issue then. Does TU work with that same username/password? The code is basically the same so it would be weird for one to work and not the other. Are you using your username or email?

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - unabatedshagie - 2012-07-25

I have both trakt and trakt utilities installed and username doesn't work with either.

I'm using my username not email.

This is a fresh install of OpenELEC beta 5 so no previous Dharma version.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-25

Maybe it's a special character in the username or password. Seems weird, but I don't see what else it could be.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - unabatedshagie - 2012-07-26

I'm starting to get confused.

The same username and password I use to log into the website doesn't work on either addon and I've got WatchApp on my iPhone and they don't work on that either.

The username is the same as here and the password isn't anything exotic. Just a "simple" six digit password.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-26

I'll have to look into it more. So far, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue. It must be a difference in how the password is sent via the API and via the website.

(2012-07-24, 20:22)rectifyer Wrote: Ok cool, I think the restart might have been the fix more than disabling trakt utilities.

Just for reference here are the version out there:
trakt utilities 0.6.5 (scrobbler + a lot more)
trakt 0.1.5 (dharma plugin, effectively replaced by 1.0.0)
trakt 1.0.0 (eden plugin, scrobbler only)

TU alone should work for scrobbling + more. If scrobbling doesn't work, then try...
TU + trakt 1.0.0 can run together, just disable scrobbling in TU.
In all cases, trakt 0.1.5 shouldn't be used in eden+ anymore since 1.0.0 does the same thing just better

What exactly does "scrobbling" include? I would like to have movies in my library being added to the "collected" list on trakt. I would prefer it not to sync "played movies", but could live with it if I had to.

RE: [RELEASE] Trakt Utilities (addon for Trakt.tv usage) - rectifyer - 2012-07-26

The scrobbler only shows what you are watching, then locks it in (scrobbles) when you are done. TU offers the extended functionality like collection sync.
