Happy new year everyone!


Right now artwork downloader does not download any logo, clearart, cdart etc from fanart.tv. Is this just my problem or have they updated anything that has still to be fixed for the artworkdownloader app??

i have the same problem today, after a reboot all was fine.

I have noticed disc art images that are available on fanart.tv not showning up in artwork downloader when I select "get artwork" and "No" to "Do you want to download all available artwork without user interaction". I have ensured Disc Art is ticked under Artwork Downloader - Movies settings.

A couple of examples:

The Watch - http://fanart.tv/movie/80035/the-watch/
The artwork found is Poster and Fanart but no disc art

Wedding Crashers - http://fanart.tv/movie/9522/wedding-crashers/
I myself submitted the english disc art here but in Artwork Downloader, only the german cover is showing as available to download for disc art

My setup:
Aeon Nox 4.0
Frodo RC2
OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8
Artwork Downloader Version: 12.0.12

Here is a debug log with debug enabled on the Artwork Downloader plugin also. I have used the 2 examples above during debug log capture

On The Watch, the fanart.tv API timed out. It's right there in the log.

On Wedding Crashers, enough time hasn't elapsed for the discart to hit the API cache. Just wait another day or so and try again. If it still doesn't work, delete your commoncache.db from the userdata folder and try again.

Seems to be working.
I have got another question. How can i add cdart manually if artwork downloader does not show any to download eventhough there is one on fanart.tv?? Tried to put the cdart.png into the moviefolder but xbmc does not recognize it.

Edit: I have a folder in the xbmc appdata folder where the programm stores all the graphics but it seems to decrypt the filenames (e.g.: 3ae1398e.png). Anybody knows how i can integrate a new cdart in there?

The file should be named disc.png, if you run AD from the movie info panel and select to download without user interaction it will pick up your local file and add it.

Hey guys, i have a problem. I work with the actually nightly build of xbmc frodo and Aeon Nox 4.0 . I want for my movies the logoview. So i started with the AD. Works fine and he downloaded everything from fanart.tv. For some movies i created own logos, because there is nothing on fanart.tv. But some he takes, and some he really ignores.

I placed the disc.png into the movie folder and into the appdata folder, but none of them is picked up by AD to be selected

Edit: I have read somewhere that AD would take the local file if i run it in bulk mode, but that did not work as well for me.

Any suggestions to get the local art in the system? I´ve tried the last few days everything, but nothing helps. In the downloadreport shows the AD all movies, which get no art, only with artwork. The other have no logo found, no clearart found and so on.

i seem to be having the same issue esp with cdarts.. didn't think it would the the artwork downloader causing it?

The new method of xbmc frodo to fetch the images (posters, cleart, logo etc. ..) it goes by in a cache right?
If I change several posters with the metabrowser or ember and then delete the entire library and insert it again it will insert the old posters that had the cache, does not insert the new ... (that did not happen in Eden) but if I do manual reload a film he inserts the new poster.

Example: What if I change 200 posters in metabrowser'll have to reload manually one by one ..... to change in xbmc!

The only way I could insert the new posters is to do a fresh install of xbmc and so it will make a new cache and inserts the posters all correct

But there must be another way without having to install everything again
