OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi
Does anybody knows the "timeout" of the scrapper process or its a add-on config?

I'm getting a lot of this:
11:20:59 T:1223083072 ERROR: VideoInfoScanner: Asked to lookup episode /media/SAMSUNG/Divx/1- Novas Series/666 Park Avenue/Season 1/666.Park.Avenue.S01E04.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-ECI.mkv online, but we have no episode guide. Check your tvshow.nfo and make sure the <episodeguide> tag is in place.

I'm using 99% of my bandwidth now (downloading stuff) so I guess the scrapper is getting a timeout and are not receiving any data so this error happens.
Quote:pictures are in the right aspect ratio in version r12268
Yes, but still ugly.

Edit:

And freezes while scrolling through my Videos. I think 256MB is really not enough. And I'm talking about Music / Video Lables (Posters). Not Fanart as Backdrop

Use this Settings on my 256MB raspi

Maybe a stupid question. ....when I turn of XBMC on my Raspberry...how do I turn it on again besides to unplug the power and ssh?
Don't turn it off.

The same videos worked pre-upgrade with no overclocking. Re-encoding the video to x264 naturally plays smooth as silk. But if I seek to a position in the video (including "resume from..." when playing the audio completely disappears.

Is anyone else seeing these issues?

+1

Confirm.

I raported this critical bug.

try r12282 from http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/ and report back (this build was not tested from me because the TV is busy with other things!):-)

thanks

Stephan

Updated to r12282 (from r12055) this morning, and can't seem to play XviD files at all anymore. If I start playback of an XviD file, the screen turns black and there's no sound. Pressing Escape or 'X' during playback works as normal.

Installed t12282 this morning, but I can't get the subtitles to work. Screen blacks out and returns to main menu. Without subtitles everytings is playing correctly.

OpenELEC Development build (r12268):
http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/Ope...68.tar.bz2

to update a older build without reinstalling see:
http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=...g_OpenELEC

Please also read http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/ope..._FIRST.txt for general notes about our development builds.

This are the changes:
  • updated XBMC to the last and greatest XBMC master checkout, including the latest changes from Gimli, many thanks! :-)
    This includes the fixes from the disussion and posts above, also disabled DDS fanart and changes in advancedsettings.xml. Please remove and recreate your Thumbnails directory manually.
  • updated firmware, kernel patches and BCM librarys *
  • fixed Wifi which was broken in the last versions
  • a kernel update to Kernel 3.6.3 - this is a big change and must be tested, please report any problems. If there are bigger problems, we will downgrade back, even if this fixes any issues. Also this includes more and updated DVB and Wlan drivers. Please test. Thanks to Dom for the work on this!
  • various other improvenments, fixes and package updates.

With one of the last builds we have update the latest bootloaderfiles to support 512MB RPi's (see: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewto...25#p198079 and http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewto...25#p198247. This also also includes the following changes:
  • on creating a fresh SD-Card a default config.txt will be installed which allocates 128MB GPU memory on 256MB and 512MB Raspberry's
  • on updating there will be checked if a config.txt exist, if not the default config.txt will be installed
  • if a config.txt with a uncommented variable 'gpu_mem' variable already exist nothing will be changed
  • if a config.txt without a 'gpu_mem' variable exist our default config.txt will be installed and will be enhanced with your old config.txt. your old config.txt will be backed up to config.txt.bk.

Please backup your old config.txt in the case you dont find your license codes anymore before you install this update

After the update please check your /flash/config.txt byself and report back any issues. Please report back if this update work like excepted on 256MB and 512MB Raspberry's

because XBMC now supports officially RPi and PVR please use XBMC's Trac (http://trac.xbmc.org/) to report XBMC bugs and OpenELEC's github issue tracker (https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues) for OS related issues and feature/driver requests.

I absolutely love version r12283. the best version yet, the 720p screen loks sharp, avi from network works gr8, only I was hopefull that you would include the dvb card drivers for my dvb car (CE9500, CE6230 - same thing).
These drivers are available as media build, and althogh Chris swan creates some builds for us with the media build drivers inside, I realy think it would be easy for you guys to just put it in so we can have our checap cheap dvb cards supported from the getgo.

This is the link to his blog: http://blog.thestateofme.com/2012/09/29/...dia_build/
This is the link to the media builds (notice not all versions are there because I believe he has other things to do also): http://resources.pichimney.com/OpenELEC....d/?C=M;O=D
This is the link for the RPI and tvheaend: http://tandrepires.wordpress.com/2012/08...pvr-dvb-t/

and lastly here are the instructions just in case you dont know ( Smile )

2) Cloning OpenELEC project

$ git clone git://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv.git

We need Stefan Saraev OpenELEC media_build support so let’s create a temporary directory:

$ mkdir temp
$ cd temp
$ git clone https://github.com/stefansaraev/OpenELEC.tv.git
$ cd OpenELEC.tv

3) Pull that commit that really interest us!

$ git cherry-pick 3f6b9aa
$ git pull origin media_build
$ cp -R packages/linux-drivers/media_build/ ../../OpenELEC.tv/packages/linux-drivers/
$ cp tools/mkpkg/mkpkg_media_build ../../OpenELEC.tv/tools/mkpkg/
$ cd ../..
$ rm -rf temp

4) Editing RaspberryPi project options (use your favorite text editor, i used nano)

$ cd OpenELEC.tv
$ nano projects/RPi/options

Search for ADDITIONAL_DRIVERS and replace this line:
ADDITIONAL_DRIVERS=”$ADDITIONAL_DRIVERS AF9035 A867 aver_h826d RTL2832 hdhomerun-driver vtuner-driver”
with this:
ADDITIONAL_DRIVERS=”$ADDITIONAL_DRIVERS media_build”

Is there any chance to see this for openelec streight out of the box dvb intgrationHuh??

Where did you find r12283?

I only find: r12282

I've just tried the 12280 build and it still lacks .ape suport. The files (from samba share) starts to play and after 1-2 seconds it jumps like fast forward. I have reported the issue a couple of months ago, it seems now to me a little better impovement :-) Will this be fixed somehow?
Has anyone managed to get pvr. Working for them, I tried on the latest version with tvheadend on my home server and the rpi would watch the first channel but when I tried to move to the next channel it. Would just show a black screen
Just tried R12280 & R12290. Pleased that photos and slideshows now display at the correct aspect ratio. On the downside I'm now getting a couple of loud pops whenever a video starts to play.
