No disk space - Timeshift on network share
#1
Question
Hello, I'm stuck setuping the pvr xmbc with mediaportal tv server
All my recordings and timeshift are setuped to save on my NAS. MediaPortal does not seem to be able to write on the network drive and I can't find a way to give him permissions. Always have an error no disk space. Tried to save straight to an usb connected, it worked but it's lagging like hell!

Any suggestions?

*I'm on Win8, the tvserver is install on this same machine that xbmc.

Finally got it working by going in the services.msc and changing the TV Service (mediaportal tv server) and I set the log on user to be my admin user, took several try but finally got it working. Now the tv seems to be working fine in the MediaPortal front end but it it still lagging and not working well in XBMC through the addon found here http://www.dotnetdevelopers.net/XBMC/xbmcpvr.html

All settings in XBMC are the default one. I have no clue what else I should change or check?!

No clue either. What do you mean with lagging? Stuttering or buffering at the XBMC side?
What happens if you pause for e.g. 10 s and then continue playback. Is the playback still not smooth?

Enable debug logging in XBMC and check your xbmc.log file for MediaPortal pvr addon messages.

Found that I needed to set the user/pass in xbmc also, even if I though that setting it on the TvService was enough. Anyways. here's a new log. It is still lagging even if I set the credentials

And here's a video of what's happening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...3SNG6jZhaM

I guess this could help. It's my Xbmc log file

Here's how it looks now. Lots of pixelization on some channels

At least I can see something now ..

what a choice of program to display your problem, all flashing and colors, and filming tv with a mobile ?? Big Grin

I don't notice any pixelation, but it seems like you didn't turn on deinterlace in video playback option.

Was quicker to upload than HD video with my cam.
Just watch Christina's leg.. it's pretty ugly Sad

yeah, that is not what I would call pixelation, it looks like de-interlace issue. Is it turned on ?

I'll take a look as soon as I get home. Is it supposed to be turned on or not? I remember having seen more than one option on interlace I think.. I'll confirm soon.
Thanks for the heads up!
