DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available
Sorry for the log. I'll edit soon.
There are many "T2720 error ffmpeg"... This is normal? I suppose to use lavvideodec!
Or it is the same?

Anyway, why dsplayer do not ready nothing?
What is your opinion?
Thank you.

Thank u Vic,
in the past days I read that giude....
I see that was written in 2012 and I thinked that was not updated.... your post tells me that I was wrong!
In the next days I'll follow it step by step. I hope that this can solve my problems.

A question for you about that guide:
Look at the points n.7 and 8 of the step by step guide....
Those points explains how to use DSPlayer instead of DVDPlayer for videos by default.
I've noticed that in the actual Frodo release there is already the settings (I mean in the main GUI of XBMC with Dsplayer) to set DSplayer as default player ...

So my question is: We have to execute step 7 and 8 or we have to skip those two points?

I give another info to you: My graphic card is a geforce GT 630 nvidia.
So my question is related to point 6 of the step by step giude...
What are LAV right settings for my nvidia card to have Hardware decoding and software decoding?

Thank you so much for the feedback.

Ok guys,
I've followed interely the step by step guide.
Now It works fine.

Perfect FPS and the files m2ts are correctly payed.
I remeber that the xmls files posted with the guide use LAVsource and LAVsplitter.

With this settings m2ts files are OK but Blu Ray in folder structure are not reproduced. Same problem with DVD in folder structure.

So I remember that wiki suggest to use AVsource and AVsplitter to extend compatibility to the BD folder structure .....

I suppose that the strings that rules over DVD and BD folder structure are the "dvd rules" in the upper part of the mediasconfig.xml file.

Those strings recals some filters that I do not have in my system like "mpeg2videodec" (ID 39F498AF-1A09-4275-B193-673B0BA3D478).
I've verified this with Graphstudio.

So I'm here to ask you a good setting to rules over BD and DVD folder structure.

Thank you.

For Blu-ray folders there are no special tricks - you need to create proper rules for .bdmv files. As for DVDs, alas, there is no good DirectShow source/splitter for them, and the only one available (I've forgotten its name) is buggy. But XBMC's internal DVDplayer handles DVDs just fine and I don't see why you need to use something else.

Thank you so much Roman for your feedback!
So you suggest to use DVD internal player for DVD playback .... perfect!

I know that with a right mose click over a DVD title we can select "play with ..." but I'm sure there is some rule over some xml file that can automate this routine.

Can you indicate me the xml file to mod. and an example of the sstrings....?
thank you

I wonder if anyone has had this problem using the newest version of Frodo (not the one that came out yesterday). I have a friend that has a very large music collection (3000+ songs) which she streams from another computer on the network and after installing the Frodo version of DSPlayer after 15 to 20 mins of playing music through Party Mode the music stops and displays the following message: No Signal Check connected device's power, cable connection, and source selection. To me this sounded like a network error so I copied her collection to the XBMC computer and re-scanned to the local hard drive, no change. I keep getting the same error, I have searched everywhere for this error and have not found anything. Prior to Frodo, with the Eden version she never had this issue. I have a debug log, but it's too big to fit into pastebin, I turned off all scans for new music and movies etc but because it takes 15 to 20 mins the log gets too large. I'm not an XBMC expert by any means but looking through the log I didn't see anywhere that shows the message getting displayed. Also if she just uses any button on the remote the music starts playing again for another 15 to 20 mins. The log shows that it is using ffmpeg to play the music. If there is a way that I can put up the debug log I will, I have also recorded the start and stop time for the log....

Thanks
Randy

Note that in this build new dialogs for selecting audio and subtitles tracks were added instead of just cycling though.

AFAIK, DSplayer branch does not have any music-related changes at all, compared to the official Frodo build.

Sure, here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/znb6kpuia4efll...61a-dx.exe. Also included is the fast channel change patch.

The 1st post updated with the new builds.
BTW, the annoying bug with PVR channel switching (or rather non-switching) in 12.2 have been fixed in Eduard's code too.

Thanks a lot for this build.

Totally fixed the issues I had with my Intel i5 with Graphics HD 4600, where a green strip was appearing on the top or left in films with scale ratio of 1.85:1 and 1.33:1.
