I've updated the wiki with a good link for some homebrew roms for testing.

Feel free to add any more, but it would be nice to have a single pack that can be downloaded.

Retroarch recently added a content section as well, they have content for lots of the cores available:

A friend recommended me *Beep*, I recommend it to you guys since nobody answered my question.
Note that their ROM list is way shorter compared to the other websites, but they are all safe and working.

Mod edit - link removed.

This does definitely not look like a Public Domain ROM site...

The post is outdated but if you ask me, vimms liar works fine.

I know this is an old thread, but still I wanted to share the list of some of the best ROM sites that i know about.

1. Vimms Lair (classic site for downloading ROMs and emulators.)
2.DopeRoms (Another one of the sites which are still working after the whole lawsuits fiasco.)
3. MyAbandonware (No Nintendo ROMs but other than you can find ROMs for most of the popular old-school consoles.)
4. Gamulator (Another Good ROM site.)

@yelo - I've allowed your post there, but the source link is not really allowed under our piracy policy (wiki) as the site has too much other stuff which relates to accessing illegally sourced films and other media (even if the actual linked page is possibly ok).

@atd2 - your signature has been removed for the same reason as it links to the same site.

I have been lucky by searching directly in google for the filename I'm searching for. This mainly works for stuff like MAME where you can check the file name expected for a game

I'm not 100% convinced of the legality of the offered ROM downloads. Perhaps if you can shed some more light on this website in order to re-evaluate the removal of its URL in your post.

That is the reason we have arranged this extreme rundown of 12 secure ROM locales including exemplary games implied for emulators of control center like the NES, Dreamcast, Wii, Game Boy Color, Sega Saturn, PSP, and then some.
Check out them :
