I've uploaded an "experimental" build based on #1111 with PR5343 reverted: #1111b.

Can you test #1111b and let us know what difference it makes with your VOB scanning.

Hello,
I see a update for nvidea and cubebox.
Is that version not for raspi only?
(2014-11-11, 23:20)vbat99 Wrote: Just a question, are there only VOB files within the VIDEO_TS folder? Are there IFO and BUP files?
Yes, IFO and BUP files are present as well. I left them out of my post for simplicity's sake.

Thank you for creating this build! I'll test it later this afternoon and report my findings. I'll start a separate thread on the matter than as well.

Yes, those updates apply to non-Pi builds however I now include all changes from OpenELEC master since the last build in the release notes so that nothing is overlooked when subsequently trying to track down bugs and regressions - in the past we had a Cubibox commit that caused a problem for Pi (even though it shouldn't) and because non-Pi changes were "filtered out" of the release notes tracking down this problem became harder than it should have been. Just ignore non-Pi changes, they're "for information only".

Although if there's too much noise from project-specific commits (eg. projects/imx6) I may try and filter those, which should be "safe".

@popcornmix noticed that you updated try with 1 second threshold for resetting demuxer when audio/video out of sync, seems to recover faster now Smile . Will you push this patch to master so that problem is also fixed on other platforms?

I've fixed this in version 3.7.0. The periodic new build checks (every 3 hours) now work on the latest builds.

The first Milhouse version I tried was a week ago and it existed, as well as the current build and the official beta build.

Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/cCxbZ1gb

I also just downgraded to stable 4.2.1 and the issue exists there also. This does not happen at all on my ION unit using either Gotham or Helix Beta, and it is connected using all the same cables as the Pi (I am swapping back and forth to test).

Can you try disabling omxplayer acceleration (in settings/video/acceleration)?

Sorry that I do not have a log to post, I will when I free up some time. I tried disabling OMXPlayer last night, and while the audio and video remained in sync, the video was a little jumpy... as if it was dropping/skipping video frames. With omxplayer on it video is a lot smoother but audio is a few seconds off.

There are a couple of people on the add-ons thread that are using Raspbmc... I may load that for comparison this weekend.

Still trying things. Next build will disable the demuxer reset and try a different patch (suggested here).

Whatever solution is determined to be right will be pushed to master.

The problem with iso's previously reported appears agian. I had no problem with previous build (#1105)

Ahk, it's been merged now. Do you have a sample of an ISO that doesn't play over SMB with #1106 but which does with #1105?

Can you also provide a debug log from #1105 AND #1107 (upload both to pastebin), to see the difference in behaviour. I've posted a note on PR:5660.

Milhouse, did this fix the problem? PR #5694! and PR #5700 Smile

Do you include it in the next build?

Yes! That fixed it. Good to know.
What is the best way to proceed? Start a new thread about it in the general forum or comment on the PR?

It appears to have fixed it, using your "NOT_OK" VIDEO_TS - it will be in the next build (uploading now...)
