This is common code, so will affect omxplayer and dvdplayer.

I was only able to do a quick test, but after about 10 minutes the Audio/Video were still in sync (normally it would be out of sync within a minute or 2). I'll have a chance to test more Saturday, when I have time to watch a full game.

A restart suggests a segfault which often leaves very little information in the debug log.

What's normally required is a backtrace which you should be able to obtain by following the instructions in item #3 in the first post of this thread (just don't use a debug build, use your current non-debug build and ignore the 300MB requirement - the backtrace will be incomplete, but still better than nothing).

Or upload a sample file.

Edit: I can reproduce a crash with my test DVD ISO over SMB or NFS - it happens when I navigate within the menu (select a menu item => crash).

gdb (non-debug) backtrace from #1114:
Code:

Build #1113 does not crash and navigates the menu without a problem. Cannot reproduce the above crash in Kodi master on Ubuntu, so looks Pi specific.

@popcornmix if you need the backtrace from a debug build, let me know...

I can't speak for the digi but with the DAC+ I only needed to load "snd_soc_hifiberry_dacplus" in hifiberry.conf. bcm2708_dmaengine doesn't exist any more and generates an error on boot if you try to load it.

Yes, I could reproduce this. I've pushed a fix.

I can confirm this for the Digi, thank you!

One issue I've got with the latest builds #1113 and #1114 is that I cannot mount samba shares to /storage/folder anymore. I'm using the "old method" with autostart.sh containing commands like:
Code:
#!/bin/sh
(sleep 30; \
mkdir /storage/folder; \
mount -t cifs -o username=username,password=password,rw //192.168.1.254/folder /storage/folder; \
)&
Are there any logs where potentially failed mounts are logged?
Thanks,
thent
Just try mounting your cifs share at the command line, what error do you see?

Chapter skip on MP4s, which was just fixed a few days ago, does not always work on these builds. Some movies skip correctly to the next chapter marker, but others timeskip instead (showing +3:00 in the top right corner). This issue does not affect openelec 5.0 beta 2 on a pi, or helix beta 2 on a mac.

This is the mediainfo for a file that skips correctly.

This is the mediainfo for a file that timeskips instead.
