Cool - thanks. No - that hasn't been fixed either.

Cheers
if you want nfs to show all your files your /etc/exports share needs to have "insecure" flag

this is how mine looks like , and works from both vmc and xbmc

/nfs/Public *(rw,no_root_squash,subtree_check,insecure)

on VMC , upnp doesn't work , it shows all the directories , but not the files (XBMC UPNP works fine)

I had a few random buffering issues over NFS with high bitrate MKV (Avatar) , will do a deep test tomorrow

Unfortunately it still doesn't play all 3d Bluray Isos - in my testing Avatar, Finding Nemo, Man of Steel and The Avengers 3D which was the same problem as with the earlier version. These work fine on other players

Avatar is the most used file to test 3D playback in our testing room, so I can sure that we do play this movie in 3D. There must be other reasons.

I have posted two ways to install the new VidOn XBMC, so it's not a bug.

(2014-12-12, 18:26)Trigu75 Wrote: 2rd bug XBMC doesn't change the UI 3D mode while playing a movie or based on movie name (mkv half-SBS and over-under)
Currently We don't support half-SBS and over-under 3D, only 3D Blu-ray iso. So this is not a bug.

But we will add the support in the future.

I had the same problem with a Linux server. Turns out you have to export NFS with the "insecure" option. By default it's "secure" which requires a privileged port from the *client*, but XBMC on Android can't get it as it's not running as root.

Sorry - I am a bit of a noob to NFS shares. As others have indicated here, for android you need to change settings on the NFS shares (they were working for my other OpenELEC boxes and Medi8tor so I assumed it was the VidonBox, but it was not).

In case anyone else has the same issues, I am using NAS4Free on my server - aside from setting up the NFS shares, you also need to add some other settings:
Navigate to System - Advanced - rc.conf

Add the following to your setup:

Variable Value Comment
mountd_flags -n Allow non-root mount requests to be served.
nfs_reserved_port_only NO Allow for insecure ports to be used by NFS.
nfs_server_flags -u -t -n 4 Serve UDP and TCP with 4 servers.

Save and reboot.

These instructions were found here:
http://kodi.wiki/view/NFS#NFS_sharing_fr...NAS_7.x.29
With the new updates, nfs shares work fine for me, using files on a Qnap Nas.

All of the 3d blu Ray ISO I have tried thus far work. playing from both XBMC and the file manager. there is a bit of buffering on chapter skips, and dropped frames at regular intervals (maybe once a minute), although the latter is not enough to spoil watching a movie.

Wolly has copped a lot of flak in this thread on the behalf of Vidon, much of it justified, but like hsmock said earlier, this update is really encouraging. I also have the Himedia Q5, Zidoo X9 and MiniX 8-H plus players. At this point, the Vidon box is the only one of these delivering solid 3D ISO from XBMC at this point.

I think you got this wrong

This feature work ( changing the menu ui to stereo ) from the main settings , it doesnt from the player settings or while playing the movie ( unless you go to main settings or change it using xbmc remote )
I also have received my box yesterday and tested this with the latest beta version. Overall I'm really impressed. All movies and 3D isos work. DVD's in a directory aren't playing. I need to convert them to ISO.

The box also works very fast with other skins like Aeon MQ5. If the box would have automatic change of framerate and support 23,976 Hz as well it would be the perfect box!!!
Subtitles are activated by default. Even they are deactivated and this setting is stored as default they are activated again with the next movie. It seams that this setting isn't stored.

Sometimes movie seams to play in slow motion. Reason is that a lot of frames are droped. Workaround is to stop and restart the movie.

29,97Hz doesn't work.

Ext4 is not supported.

PVR Plugins are not available.
Wow this latest update really is promising, first time for me that I experienced Blu-ray menu support from within XBMC. I tried The Maze Runner ISO and got the menu (although the menu text was invisible and the sound was initially not detected by my receiver it worked suddenly when I pressed the arrow key).
I also noticed some strange acceleration/deceleration in the frame rate while playing a Bug’s Life 1080P/23.976 MKV. I noticed the drops also.

3D Iso's worked connected to my Sony TV. But now I have connected the box directly to my Philips 3D TV and the ISO's are played in 2D only. What can I do?
Caramba69 check if the issue is the hdmi cable / hdmi port , i had this issue , using a different hdmi cable resolved it ( shorter one )

The same problematic hdmi cable works fine with my samsung 3DBD player , and computer , but not with vidon box
OK ... I can confirm , the device output is not true 1080p , but scaled 1280x720

and this is the reason I get a small 1280x720 video window at the top when I set the display size to real 1920x1080

Is this also true when a FullHD movie is playing?

yes , this is the layer where the video is rendered . they create a virtual frame (screen window) with internal 1920x1080 this is scaled to src_window 1280x720 and that's what you see in the framebuffer (fb.size) set 1280x720 resolution (filling the whole screen when resolution is 1280x720 )
