is it possible to prevent kodi suspend until postprocessing (eg comskip) is done when kodi and tvheadend server are one same machine?

Ask far ask I can tell, no. Tvheadend does not secs a notification to its clients egged progressing is done. See also: https://tvheadend.org/issues/2836
