Can't do anything with a report like this. Will need a debug log and/or a sample file with instructions to reproduce the issue.

I check again. Video source is wrong. It's not a OpenELEC problem. Sorry.
I noticed that only 2D bluray seems to be 'libaacs' compatible - 3D bluray refuse to play when they're AACS protected.

In the logfile it says:

Quote:01:26:36 6095.889648 T:1508754336 NOTICE: Creating Demuxer
01:26:37 6096.343750 T:1508754336 ERROR: Open - error probing input format, udf://%2fvar%2fmedia%2fBLURAYISO_02%2fBluray%2fB0036%20-%20BLURAY%203D%20-%20AACS.iso/BDMV/STREAM/SSIF/00013.ssif

01:26:37 6096.344727 T:1508754336 NOTICE: CVideoPlayer::OnExit()

So I think the problem is in DVDDemuxFFmpeg.cpp - any chance this can be enhanced to also take advantage of libaacs?
1211 Boots only once for me. After a reboot it stucks on the bootscreen saying "OpenELEC (Milhouse) ... Version..."

Edit: unplugged the Pi for a minute, now it works

early in the morning i have kake this test with "zappa plays zappa" (pal) iso. [8,5 GB / with DD5.1 and DTS Sound]

chapter forward makes his job in one second.
chapter backwards needs ca 4 -6 seconds with buffering. [DTS5.1)

DVD folder (pal) strukture works perfect with chapter forward/backward.

Tested on RPi2 with hifiberryDAC+
Sound make no problem.

Hello doldi,

I noticed that you have a HifiberryDAC+. Is DD5.1 passthrough working for you?

Thanks.
Ollo
no Ollo - didn't work:

If i switch to passtrough in operation, my RPi2 reboots.
After this action AudioDevice PI:HDMI is avtivated.

I do not tested bevor, because my first RPi2 is on LCD TV over HDMI and conectetd with spdif to Yamaha 6.1 Audiodevice.
The second Rpi2 with hifiberry make his job with Monitor and AltecLansing Desktopspeakers.

sorry, no satisfactory reply for you - but helpfull for you?
hi milhouse and popcornmix,

over repository.lost-and-found.zip i have a new MTV.de addon Version (the old 3.3 is broken)

Build #1001 will play this, but in build #1211 i dont have any chance. Video is stuckering.

Edit:
If i switch in #1001 to passtrough (hifiberryDAC+) in operation (running on Video), my RPi2 do not reboot and analog sound goes on ;-)
@doldi: upload a debug log from #1211 when playing a stream from this addon

Is your RPi2 with #1211 actually rebooting, or do you mean Kodi is crashing (if so, upload the crashlog). If you need a debug-enabled build I can upload one later.

PS. If Hifiberry need Kodi developers to make their product work, they might want to consider donating hardware to the XBMC Foundation.

I posted your request in the Hifiberry community. Maybe someone recognize you Christmas wish. Smile By the way are there some changes regarding passtrough. With #1210 I'm no longer able to switch the passtrough output. HDMI is greyed out. Independent of the "Sync playback to display" setting.
My hifiberry RPi2 with #1211 is actually rebooting. RPi2 is starting new =reboot

playing: Louane -Avenir on mtv.de addon [stuttering/pixeling video and hanging sound] - here is the log:

http://xbmclogs.com/paeymtkxc

@Ollo - i do not understand the world, tzzz

Now my system -Audiodevice stand on "PI:HDMI" is not greyed out and sound over hifiberry (go from '1001' to '1210' build for craslog).
doldi is disoriented Undecided

i am missing my hifiberrydac in settings?
there are
HDMI
Analogue
hdmi and Analog
Alsa Pulse audio server

...is that ok?

Here's the full debug log of the problem (I thought I post it before anyone asks about it Wink ) : debug log

I have 2 images of the same disc on the my drive - at first I tried to play the aacs-encrypted image >> it fails and afterwards I played the image without aacs encryption and it works.
Spdif appeared after disabling "sync to display" and rebooting. As we say: you will not understand without a glass of vodka Big Grin

I don't think so, I have the same. Just noticed the same after installing #1211. I would assume it should be ALSA (snd_rpi_hifiberry_digi) or similar. This might be the explanation that the passtrough output is disabled and fixed to HDMI.
