OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
Continuation (not sure what else they could be) - Kodi master has now branched, with Jarvis for Kodi 16, and master continuing on as Kodi 17. With the new version comes API bumps, some add-ons may need updating.

If you were happy with the Kodi 16 builds you should be happy with these.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Just been through this API incompatibility issue when compiling OE for the WeTek Core.
Any Kodi version after Jarvis Beta3 will need all pvr.clients compiled from their respective updated master GitHub Repos.

Changing the source works ,but switching off-/on my Samsung TV and then there is no connection to the PI2. Solution: Yatse + input, and then there is a connection. Same Problem with hdmi_edid_file=1 and hdmi_force_hotplug=1.

Is this a continuation of the nightlies from the 16/j series, or a completely new 17/k build? IE, if I was mostly happy with the 16 nightlies for the past few months with the occasional nightly hiccup, can I expect the same from these early stage 17/k builds on a stock rPi2?

A few weeks back the kodi 16 builds were late beta builds, so there had been no recent new features or API changes and so the chances or skin/add-on breakage were limited.
Now kodi 17 is in early alpha stage. New features are API changes are being merged regularly so breakage is more likely.

First thing we need to know is if you are reporting a regression.
Did an earlier Milhouse build behave better? Does the official OE 6.0 build behave better?

Only with OE 5 works. I have the problem since OE 6+.

I'd suggest reporting it, with a debug log with CEC component specific debugging enabled, in both the working OE 5 and non-working OE 6 case here:
https://github.com/Pulse-Eight/libcec/issues

Use OE stable builds, not experimental builds for the logs as it is easier to track the versions of libcec is use.

Perhaps it's possible to stop text from scrolling when a player is active on single-core platforms such as the Pi1 that are more sensitive to GUI updates.

CPU usage very high when horizontal text scroll happen.
To reproduce, create an empty folder, name it with a long character string or/and rename a music/video file with a long string.

Compare CPU usage between no scrolling and a scrolling name with debug or ssh/top

With my RPi1-512 overclocked at 1000 I get:
Low: 15-20%
High:65-75%
When I play HD multichannel music I get drops.

I still can't play some files, a lot of drops due to scrolling text.
Is there any improvement in the new build, fix or workaround?

Ok sorry for the wrong infos, after testing:

-> OE 6 : Seems works
-> OE 6 build with libCEC 3.0.1: works
-> Milhouse build: after switching off-/on my Samsung TV , no signal to PI2

But i have discovered something: switching off-/on my Samsung TV -> no signal to PI2 -> push a button on remote control -> connection to PI2 . It's not a bad resolve Wink .

Hope information is useful/helpful.
Thanks. I can reproduce the issue and have identified the commit (from fernetmenta's branch) that causes the problem.
I've reverted for now, and reported it, so ITV player should be working in the next build.
I have just installed and confirm that ITV Player catchup content is working normally in build #1213
Thanks

Cool. You might want to test again tonight. That reinstates the reverted commit and adds a fix from FernetMenta.
ITV player is still working fine for me.
My useless statement to the new build :-|

DVD 9 (video_TS.ifo) Menue works in that build. Next Chapter and last Chapter works also.
O.K.
ISO file (9GB) works also - with fast buffering - chappooo ;-)
Video Addon MTV.de also running (although in Windows Kodi a little better - more songs)
O.K.
*rec files from my topfield2410 TwinHD-Sat-Recorder also playable over ftp.
O.K.

some wishes...
...only on one miniDVD in DTS5.1have problems - if i make "stereo upmix" with hifiberry DAC i here my Alan Parsons Projekt sound.
...On the other RPi2 over HDMI on LCDtv wit DTS6.1 Receiver this mimiDVD didn't work (hmm) proceed as normal in #1001.
#1001 plays perfect without exchange sth. in the settings.

Just checked and ITV Player catchup content appears to be working normally in build #1214 with quick test

After updating to #1213 last night (still using TVh #1205) I found that there was stutter/audio drop about every 15s. Watching the overlay, I saw that the err ms were increasing by about 10 every second and the stutter occurred when it got to about 150ms and then reset to 0ms.

I haven't been able to consistently reproduce it this morning after a reboot. It didn't happen with the first channel I tried, BBC One, but did when I switched to Channel 4 but then I couldn't reproduce it on that or any other channel.

Log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1fDI89...sp=sharing

I'll try updating to the latest TVh and keep an eye on it.
