Strange. Tested with tvheadend in the backend and it works just fine. Don't have MythTV but will see what I can do.

Will look into this. Thanks for reporting.

Just another data point in case it helps:

Same problem of no entries in grouped Default recordings folder with build from kodi master with mythtv 0.28pre backend.

See debug log http://paste.ubuntu.com/15034758/

I know it is big try a search on "transporter"

@MikeB2013: Do I read this correct that you expect a folder "Default" and inside this another folder "Transporter" and inside the latter some recordings? And you do not have a toplevel folder called "DefaultTransporter", right? So, the problem is related to nested folders, I'd say. Tvheadend does not support nested folders. That's why I could not test this.

Your reading is correct. There is no "DefaultTransporter" folder.

Top level Default (in this case), inside more folders (each of which has recordings),

Can you identify the first build with this problem?

The issue first appeared in build #0130b

There were quite a few possible changes there. Can you provide a sample file that shows the issue?
Cut a minute long sample (perhaps with mmg from mkvtoolnix).
If I leave audio output set to optimized or best dts-hd ma tracks are only sent as 2 channel pcm to my receiver. If I change the audio output to fixed, set channels to 7.1 then the full 7 or 5 channel set of pcm signals is sent to the receiver. I am using the kodi sample files for these tests, like the dredd 7.1 file.

Is this something everyone does or not typical, I hadn't tried fixed output until I noticed missing channels in playback.

Also pass through is not checked.
@Milhouse what is the status of Retro player inclusion?

Thank you! Ungrouping works for now.

The changes over the last year on the RPi2 have been amazing. 1080 advanced deinterlacing, ram overclocking and H265 playback. Thanks to everyone for the continued work on Kodi and the RPi/RPi2 platform!

Planned for the future, once Retroplayer supports Kodi 17 (currently supports Kodi 16).
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Same behaviour i'm seeing. You should be able to leave it as optimized. My worry is that by setting it to fixed that it isn't actually reading the true multichannel track and is instead sending empty channels or up converting.

Is omxplayer enabled or disabled?

Enabled.

I'm creating a 30 second sample file for you to check against. The MVC MKV is a straight extract from a 3D blurry ISO that was made using MakeMKV.

Can you check the behaviour with omxplayer disabled? If it only affects omxplayer, then that narrows things down.

If i disable OMXPlayer acceleration HD Audio is properly converted into multichannel PCM. I tested this using build #0130b.

hi - i have no DD5.1 and DTS5.1 passtrough with this new build.

[Can not say anything about working last build, because i have some hardware rashes with my little server here - lost all my videos.]

EDIT:
i'm testing:
# 208 -> no DTS/DD
# 129 -> " " "
# 124 DTS/DD works - but chapter forward not
