Do we need to run #5 manually from shell?

Yes, once you've booted into #0412.

I'm getting the same issue on all BD ISO files when using NFS (both using KODI files to navigate there and when added in the File Manager) but not with SMB.

With SMB the BluRay popup (chapter to play) takes around 30 seconds, with both NFS methods it never actually appears (at least not within 5 minutes, when I got bored waiting).

Files are being served of an Ubuntu Server custom build NAS over Gigabit wired network.

Thank you for the very clear answer.

But does it mean that all people here doesn't have any dvd (even in ISO format) in their collection ?! And the next stable release will not allow this?
I need to replace my DVDs with BD ? (Sure I will not find for all movies). Or convert ISO to mkv ?

Thank you once again.
Hi,
with this missing feature (DVDplayback /disk/iso/blank_structure or what ever) i will not test any further builds.
It's a "no-go" for me - I'm afraid, but that's the absolute truth.

I also don't understand, that here are asking only a few peoples over DVD playback.
I don't convert 300DVDs to mkv or other container format to have a look with Kodi.

Where was i ?
Well on 16beta#1001 - after them no DVD, synkprops on large mkv, not playing dts-wavs from folder ect are present on builds.

One person's trash is another person's treasure

No harm meant!

Hi !

First of all, thanks for your work !
I have a problem with my HifiBerry DAC+ Pro, it is not available in the audio output, is it a known bug ?

/flash/config.txt :
Code:
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus
dtdebug=1

Error message in log file after a reboot :
Code:
Failed to load overlay 'hifiberry-dacplus'

Hi @doldi,

Thank you for your post, I'm feeling less alone. I've got lot of DVDs ISO and was afraid to be the only one to have a collection.

But do you know what is the real problem, to help me to understand ? Since the build #224, which is the last one with DVD support, it has been disabled. But do you know why ? It looks like it worked, so it was not something to work to, and then it has been disabled in the following builds, which are improving more complicated things ?

I have some logical problems, but I don't have all knowledge, for sure Smile

I hope the "DVD playback" (ISO...) will be soon "reactivated", mostly if it's nothing else than a flag to check during the build.

Was this with #0412? There was a bug with earlier firmware that could cause that issue, but it should be fixed in latest build.

DVD ISO support has been temporarily dropped after the DVD ISO support in Kodi was refactored which meant it no longer builds in OpenELEC until the DVD support in OpenELEC is re-configured. Without a fix for OpenELEC there were (and still are) two choices: stop building Kodi 17 for OpenELEC entirely, or drop DVD support and continue without it.

I'm sure it will be added back eventually, before the Kodi 17 release, but for now it's not supported by these test builds. As soon as support becomes available it will appear in these builds.

Perfect !

Thank you for the answer and the explanation Smile

I'll go further with your builds, and mount an official-old release on another SDcard, if I need to watch DVD. It will allow me to test/compare ways to share a library between different SDcards (the NAS will be nice), but with different builds version... I don't know if there are changes regarding libraries (I mean media libraries), I'll test.

Thank you for your work and support.

No it was with #0411. I will install latest build tonight, thanks !
Never mind.. Fixed my own problem.

Nope. If you want help you'll need to provide some details.
