Hi,

First of all, thank you for this great script. unfortunately RTL channels aren't working for me, I've already updated the channels but without success. I'm using Windows 7, but I've had the same problem on Windows Vista.

Also, here's is a better error description:
Whenever i click on a video on RTL XBMC hangs for about 20 seconds - 1 minute and then returns the "too many consecutive failed items" error. As mentioned before I already updated the RTL channels from within the script.

As far as I can see, XOT can determine the video URL without a problem. But it is a WMV format and XBMC for Linux and Win32 cannot handle them that well. So that's the problem. Nothing I can fix. Perhaps search the forums for WMV issues in relation to streaming.

well this does not work, but the roadmap for 9,10 shows two interesting fields;

Added support for RTMP (Flash) live video streams, plus skip, pause, and resume feature
* Added proper MMS/MMSH streaming client (libmms) support to non-Xbox platforms

lets hope all will be fine in the next release (5 more weeks)

Just wanted to report to you that the Swedish TV3, TV6 and TV8 i no longer working. I can see the programs in the list but if I enter a program it just says "no files" It was working last week and has been working for a long time but when I tested it today these channels seems to have changed some how.

TV8 I already fixed yesterday (see the Auto Update feature of the XOT Script). The others were working then, but are probably easy to fix to now. I will try to do it tomorrow.

Hey Just to say thx for all great work with this. Not to be the pestering kind. Just more of feedback kind. SVTPlay works but only the Swedish internal programs. while the american shows, do NOT seem to be streaming. Its been awhile since last update for that. So if you chould take a look at that as well. Once your finish the others.

Just take your time ^^ we are all rly glad you take your free time to do this.

Thanks for the quick fix try. But i tried 3 different XMCH THMC Versions still almost the same issue, it just wont find the stream and connect to it.

I did some research about this awhile ago to see if i could even rip the stream to HDD. Well to say i was without success T_T

Will try and give this a manual Update, did only try with in gui update.

On another note, is there a way to add some sort of video seek compatibility?

With in a stream that is. Sure it works online with a "computer" but its on the xbox we want it T_T.


In anyway big thanks for you putting this out and hammering this stuff. But Swedes need a little victory after the bust down of the scene release group that was put down to sleep (the forever kind). This type of television viewing is definitely the way it should be. On demand. Sort of FPV (Free Per View)

The seeking is a XBMC issue, and is something I cannot fix. I tried convincing the XBMC dev's to fix it, but it's not on their priority list.

Could you explain you edit comments a bit further? I didn't really understand it?

What i was suggesting is the alternative settings giving some times the choice of WMV. But it seems its been removed on most of the American shows.

What i found funny and in a good way, useful is the external link of an rtmp(e) stream link. That works perfectly with rtmpdump 1.6 to rip the show with.

As i didn't find any updates to the viasat channels i did some network sniffing last night and did a quick update to the script, as i don't do python the author can surely do this more properly, but for now it works.
I also added viasat sport (needs icons).
